I've been getting an influx of messages asking about custom orders and in-stock inventory.

For the moment all custom orders are -CLOSED- while I'm revamping the business and the direction it will take in the future.

I appreciate everyone's patience and please don't hesitate to reach out and ask about current in stock inventory ❤️ I'm contemplating a live or maybe an online flash sale for the remaining in stock merchandise from the lathe line. What's your thoughts? 😊

I've been on a bit of a hiatus the past couple three months as things went a bit up in the air. Here's some updates:

The original plan was that I would ve moving out of state (for several reasons), however, that won't be happening. While some things fell through, others fell into place, resulting in my staying.

There was a chance I wasn't going to be able to keep The Hermit's Den business name but that's been sorted and is here to stay ❤️

Lathe items (that are not currently in stock) will *not* be available for custom orders at this time (and no new stock is being made to replace sold items). There's still a lot of changes happening behind the scenes, and things getting shuffled here and there, so the lathe is currently not set up.

Crafting kit packs are limited and, due to things being here, there and everywhere, I'm not making any new ones just yet.

So what does that mean for the future of The Hermit's Den? Well... I've been researching the current economy and market. I'm not sure I'll be continuing any of the pen lines, crochet hooks are still being researched as I want to continue to offer a good deal on a quality product... but, I also have to fairly compensate myself for time and materials. I'm trying to see if that dollar amount is reasonable for everyone.

I'm also exploring the option of expanding the product lines into some of my other hobbies and crafting interests that provide a unique final item result that leaves my customers feeling happy and satisfied while also scratching my crafting itch 😅 if I'm not having fun and loving what I'm doing, the workmanship and quality suffers, and I let you... my customers... down.

So I guess what I'm saying is: the dust is still settling after a very wild rollercoaster ride, I'm still here, I'm planning for future shows, and I'll keep you all updated as things start finding their new groove. ❤️

Let me know if there's anything you'd love to see on my tables at future shows and thank you all for being so patient, understanding, and supportive. No one said starting a small business was easy but seeing all your smiling faces at the shows sure makes it worth every minute of it. 🥰

I appreciate everyone's patience with me these past couple days and (probably) another 2 or so.

The flu has been running wild in my house and it finally decided it was my turn. I'm through the worst of it, I think, but still have off and on fevers, all over body aches, and the worst headaches.

I promise I will respond to everyone's messages as soon as I'm feeling well enough. Thank you so much for your understanding and patience, it means a lot! And I hope no one else gets this bug, it's particularly nasty 😞😭

I'll be spending today packaging and sorting like mad to get everything prepped for the show tomorrow. So there won't be any new photos of products put up today or tomorrow. (Everything currently on the page will be updated tomorrow after the show to reflect availability)

If you'd like to get your hands on anything before it's sold out, please either message me today so we can make arrangements before the show tomorrow, or come by and see us first thing!

Show starts at 10am at the Penn Central Mall and I'll start setting up around 8:45. Bulk discounts deals available (on top of the new product prices) and everything has been marked down to sell. It all has to find new homes and I hope it finds its way to you! 🥰

Exciting news! We were able to snag a last minute booth space for the Lighted Christmas Parade and craft show at the Penn Central Mall this Saturday, December 6th from 10am to 6pm. (Organized by Oskaloosa's well known and established hostess Kim Kennedy ❤️)

Here's your chance to grab up some amazing and unique gifts for stockings and under the tree and take advantage of our close out prices in person! Literally all inventory needs to sell, so don't be afraid to barter or ask for bulk purchase discounts!
