Introducing:
SolOrbit for Starlink
Since Starlink was introduced, the high-speed satellite dish Internet solution has become extremely popular. However, in order to deploy Starlink out of the box it requires:
1. hard wiring between dish, router, and AC power
2. mounting of dish to provided base or external mount systems
3. adequate power system to run AC power to provided router
4. weather protection for all components except dish
All of the deployment requirements are not conducive for remote or portable use. Because of this, most portable Starlink deployments use third party components for DC to AC power conversion, custom mounting solutions, and weatherproof cables to accommodate use in boats, vehicles, and remote locations.
In addition, converting the power system to DC reduces power consumption allowing for a more portable deployment and longer battery life. Up to a 20% power reduction is expected when deployed with DC vs conversion from DC to AC. Most Starlink users that require mobile or portable use source third-party components to allow conversion to DC only power, and replace the Starlink AC router with a DC WiFi powered router. This can be a complex and time consuming process, that often leads to issues that are not easy to troubleshoot through Starlink support.
The SolOrbit Fission and Fusion were designed around the principals of DC only power and portability, without complexities of third party component compatibility and cabling. Being self-sufficient, compact, and portable make the SolOrbit solution desirable. The dish can be mounted and stowed along with the portable case, allowing a compact, cable free and truly portable solution. Portable solar power panels, generator, and Alternator charge options offer extended use over long periods of time.
SolOrbit provides more compact, portable, energy efficiency high-speed Internet in areas that lack infrastructure to accommodate minimal requirements for deployment. It’s autonomous battery solution and remote on/off control allow Boats, vehicles, and remote locations that require battery banks to maintain the power necessary for all critical appliances without a load requirement for Starlink. SolOrbit can also be used to provide power and communication for automated devices connected to high-speed Internet for monitoring and control.
