Some more late night thoughts to share because why not. 🫶🏼

If you’re the creative space in whatever capacity, don’t feel like the moments you couldn’t figure something out were wasted. Be proud of yourself for trying.

You’ll take bits and pieces of each experience with you on to the next. And before you know it, you’re doing things you never thought you could do.

Creativity begets creativity. 🌻

Enjoying the last few weeks of summer, but at the same time dreaming of fall (even though it’ll still be hot here in Florida for a while 😅). 🌻🍂

I was looking back through pictures and saw these of one of my sunflowers and thought it needed a spot here.

To this date, my sunflower pattern is my bestselling pattern, and the fact that so many of you have loved it so much still makes me so happy. Thank you for loving this pattern so well. 🫶🏼

Next up behind the scenes is working through the testing phase! 📝 🧶

Here are a few more things I look for when choosing testers…

- I usually tend to choose testers whose pictures are well-lit and it’s easy to see their work.
- I make sure you’ve followed all the requirements when applying because it shows attention to detail.
- follower count doesn’t matter to me! 🫶🏼
- I like to choose a mix of new testers who’ve never tested for me before, and a few who have and have given me great feedback in the past.
- All of my patterns are intermediate level, so I do try to pick people who will be able to make them at this level. - Sometimes I’ll choose a couple beginners who are willing to take on the challenge, but for this collection I did go for choosing crocheters with intermediate experience.

I’ve been going through all the applications last night and today and have seen so much beautiful work. It’s going to be SO hard to choose. Thank you all for the support! 💜

A glimpse into my pattern photos process. 📸

It’s truly not that fancy over here, I just try to do my best with what I have. Someday I might create a better setup, but right now this is what works!

It’s what I love about running my own business and getting to be my own boss, that I get to create my own process for getting things done, and be able to work it into my own schedule.

Thanks for love on my recent flower reveals as well! You’re all so amazing and I promise I’m working on getting them out to you as soon as possible.

Now that the photos are done, I’m going to be working them into the patterns this week while also planning the testing phase.

Let me know if you’d like to know more about my testing process and how I choose testers, plan the test timeline, requirements, and all that jazz. 💜🥰

Update number 3 and I just have one more pattern to fix up and work through before entering into the next phase, which is taking all the instructional pattern photos! 📸😮‍💨

It’s usually around this time, once I get the patterns formatted from the outline stage to a rough draft, that I like to start sharing the reveal pictures! So far I’ve only revealed one, and I guess a sneak peek to another one in the video. 😉

Truly so excited about this next collection! I started designing the first flower of this collection back in early May, so to say I’m ready to get them out to you all is an understatement! I don’t think I can wait much longer, so keep an eye out tomorrow for the first reveal. 👀🤭

I’m hoping to have all the pattern drafts done by this weekend so I can take pattern photos on Saturday. After that, it’ll be time to plan the tester call!

Hope you’ve enjoyed following along behind the scenes with me! 🫶🏼

And the final flower to my newest collection is…

The WATER LILY 💕

This flower was designed when my friend asked about ordering a birth flower bouquet from me and I had all the flowers already in patterns except for July! I told her I wanted to try and design a pattern so we could complete the collection, and she was gracious enough to give me some extra time to come up with something.

However, there was already a bit of pink in her bouquet and I knew some blue would really make it pop, so once I figured out the design, I made one in blue for her bouquet and absolutely loved how it turned out! It looks like a blue lotus, which turns out is in the same family as a water lily so it was the perfect completion.

After finishing this design, I knew it needed a lily pad since water lilies don’t actually have long stems. So this pattern will not only include instructions to make the lily pad and the stem, but I’ll also be offering the lily pad pattern for free on my YouTube channel and blog! I already finished the video tutorial. 🤭🤭

Thank you so much for all of the love on this new collection, I am elated to be able to bring you all some fresh new flowers and can’t wait to get them into your hands.

September is a busy month for me personally, and I’m still going over the logistics and timing of this release to fit into my schedule so please be patient with me! 😆🫶🏼

Hopefully, the tester call will be put out soon so stick around if you’re wanting to apply! 💜

And the next flower coming soon to my newest collection is…

The POPPY ❤️

Red poppies are a symbol for honoring service members who died in war. If you know my story, you know this flower has a special place in my heart. While I wanted to release this one around Memorial Day, the pattern wasn’t quite out of my head at that point. I hope this poppy continues on to spread remembrance and the hope for peace in our world right now.

If you saw my recent reels then you know which flower is last to come for this collection, but I’ll share those final photos and details tomorrow! 🫶🏼

The 3rd flower to be included in my newest flower pattern collection is…

The GLADIOLUS 💛

Yellow gladiolus represent friendship and joy, while pink ones represent motherly love and gentleness.

These blooms are worked by creating 3 elegant flowers to attach down the stem, so it’s a little bit involved and probably the most time consuming flower in this collection (always has to be one, right? 🙃). But goodness, the finally product is full and cheery and just so fun!

I still can’t believe I have TWO more flowers to show you all! 🤩

Let me know if you’re excited to get some gladiolus on your hook!

The next flower coming soon is…

The Calla Lily 🤍

This was actually the last of all the patterns to be finalized and I almost didn’t include it at all because I wasn’t loving it. It turned out, it just needed some fine tuning and tweaks and I was finally able to get it how I envisioned in order to include it in the collection.

The calla lily signifies innocence, devotion, and rebirth. I think it’ll be an elegant and lovely addition to your bouquets.

This whole pattern collection still has some work to be done, but the release is unofficially planned for around the beginning of October.

Follow along if you’re excited to see the reveal of the next flowers!
