Not what I wanted to do as this is really early in the year to be putting round bales out but sometimes we have to adjust and adapt. The horses seemed much more content today being able to chose between grazing and the hay bale!

What does Sydney’s stall look like in the morning? She eats most everything except for the hay which she struggles with.

Anyone wanna take a guess at the total dry weight of her feed? 😅 Everything gets soaked to make it easier for her to chew and digest so the volume ends up being pretty hefty. She also gets 2 quarts of Sentinel Performance LS in the AM and 2 ounces of CoMega Surpreme (an extremely high fat oil). 😬

Say it with me: exposure therapy! The only way to make your horse bombproof is by showing them that scary things are not always dangerous! Also, this is a backhoe. My brain decided “bulldozer” was more fun to say. 🤣

One of the things I am very good at is rehabbing horses with weight problems. This happened very quickly for Sidney. Her owner pulled her out of the big herd and told me about her when Legend came up sore (I’m blaming Bobbi). Now she’s here and we’re happy to have her! She has a wonderful appetite so this will be an easy fix despite her crooked lower jaw. Let me know if you have questions!
