This year's Paxton Swine 'N Dine BBQ Contest & Festival concert stage will be at the corner of N. Market St. & W. State St. (near Prairie City Wine Room), with the BBQ contest taking place to the North/behind the stage. We have 3 great small businesses in that block-- Blush + Velvet, Market on Market Paxton, IL and Game Changer Sports Shop -- that will be OPEN on Saturday, so make sure you stop in to see what they have!

Most other businesses downtown will also be open. Remember, Market St. will be closed from Friday night at 5PM until Sunday at 12AM to prepare and host the stage and vendor areas. Free parking throughout Paxton.

(Ruby Jewel & Coffee & Friends will be closed on Saturday 9/19).

Market on Market Paxton, IL, Game Changer Sports Shop and Blush + Velvet are located in the 200 North block of Market St. They will be OPEN for business this Saturday during Paxton Swine 'N Dine BBQ Contest & Festival, so be sure to stop in and discover all the unique items they have to offer!

The BBQ contest will be taking place in the street, but shops will be OPEN!

DOWNTOWN ROAD CLOSURE this weekend! Businesses, please print and post in your store/office and share in your page so customers are prepared.

Please make plans accordingly— if you need med refills from Hudson Drug Shop try to grab them before 5pm Friday, banking from The Frederick Community Bank and other businesses. Please be aware some businesses may alter their hours this weekend as well.

If you’re a resident that lives in downtown, note that parking isn’t available on Market St (and some side streets) during listed times.

Drawing is THIS Saturday, September 19th at 2pm in front of the Commandery Building (Masonic Lodge) at 155 N. Market Street! Purchase your "Get Out of Dodge" raffle ticket/s at Hudson Drug Shop in downtown Paxton.

The public is also invited an open house on the 2nd floor (elevator and stair access) of the Commandery Building following the drawing until 3:30pm. You will be able to view and/or learn about the history of the lodge and the Commandery Building. Refreshments served.

It breaks my heart when I see posts of small businesses in Paxton closing!
To be truthful, it’s difficult to own a small business in a small town.
Niche Paxton, Illinois is coming up on a two year anniversary and we have soooo many local customers who say “I didn’t know you were here.”
We are definitely here! 🙂 We are open six days a week.
We are:
#1-A restaurant. We have a full menu. All items are only made, WHEN you order. We prepare food in our kitchen at Niche.
We prepare food in a commercial kitchen with a commercial industrial air fryer oven. We do not cook with oil or grease.
We have dine in options, dine outside, call in orders, DoorDash delivery.
#2-Gaming. We do have slots. You can eat and game.
#3-Adult drinks. We have adult drinks available. Options are limited, however our intent is not to be a bar. Our main priority is the restaurant.
We are our own business. We are not with any other businesses. We are a stand alone company.
We are NICHE 💛
