Argus uses high quality footswitches from ST Professional srl made in Italy. 🇮🇹

They’re momentary style switches so they work in our relay circuit. Yet they have a satisfying, tactile *CLICK*
(optional silent available too)

We weren’t satisfied with the switches available to us from traditional suppliers. So we went the extra mile to import them ourselves directly from the STP factory.

We chose these, like all of our parts; because quality, feel and aesthetics matter to us above all.

To commemorate the release of our Argus Optical Overdrive; the first run of pedals will contain a chip from our vault!
We have collected these over the years; waiting for the right moment to share them. Highly coveted among Tube Screamer collectors - They sound great in this device!

Mfg dates are mostly 1978-79 , reclaimed from the same mixing consoles that we pull our Humboldt transformers from.

Fully tested and covered under the pedal warranty.

Expect future batches of this pedal to be released with other vintage amp chips until we run out of overstock.

Launching Thursday September 24th. $189 from our website or dealer partner: Sound Shoppe

Happy birthday to the better half of Niche Devices! The artwork for Argus started out as an illustration of an Argus Orchid; hand drawn by Megan.
She then digitized it and worked up the rest of the design in Adobe Illustrator. There are some complex rules and steps to follow in order for the pedal designs to meet the requirements of the UV print shop.
No Ai here! Just good design.

Megan Schreiber does all this and so much more, and she is my absolute rock. Please help me wish her a happy birthday!!

Huge thanks to Kurt Johnson for helping demonstrate this. We are lucky to have him as a friend. 🥰 Kurt G. Johnson

Pick Packs!

You asked, we finally listened. We get a lot of questions and compliments on the unique pick that we include as case candy with pedal purchases. 1.5mm thickness. Similar in material to Tortex. Similar in shape to a Dunlop Jazz iii - but different enough to be unique and ready to become your favorite new pick! $5 for a 5 pack includes a sticker and postage within the US.
