It’s the last day for the Minnesota State fair. Don’t forget to stop by and stock up. We’ve enjoyed seeing our customers and loved meeting new friends. It’s always a bittersweet feeling when it comes to an end. We are exhausted and ready to go home back to our beautiful little store in Perrysburg.

Please know we will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8. As we will be traveling back to Ohio and don’t have extra help.

Our store is stocked and smelling incredible right now 🍯🍎🍾 That honey apple ch*****ne olive oil soap and the white pumpkin vanilla olive oil soap are two of our favorites every fall season, and they’re sitting on the shelf right next to the rest of our fall lineup just waiting for you. While we’re all in Minnesota for the fair, our little shop is open and ready for you, come see us! Right now soaps are buy 3 get 1, and body butters, lotions and sugar scrubs are 2 for $40. An wonderful lady gone too soon. Team green bubble has been listening to dolly for the last few days.

In 1988 Dolly Parton pulled every 7th and 8th grader in Sevier County into a room and told them to pick a buddy.

She made them sign a contract.. if BOTH graduate, she hands you both $500. One fails, nobody gets paid.

The county dropout rate went from 35% to 6%.

She handed out the checks herself.

In 1989 she offered $500 to every kid in the county who wanted to go to the local college.

When Gatlinburg burned in 2016, she sent 900 families $1,000 a month for six months.

You've probably heard that part.

Here's the part you haven't:

The fund raised more than expected, so she showed up in May and handed every one of those families another $5,000 on top.

Then she quietly put $3 million into the recovery group that handles the years after the news trucks leave.

She built her county an entire hospital.

She played a benefit concert in 2007, Dollywood and the Stampede matched it, and LeConte Medical Center opened in 2010 with a birthing unit and a women's center in it.

In 2022 she started covering 100% of tuition, books, and fees for Dollywood employees.

Full-time, part-time, AND seasonal.

In 1991 she paid for a bald eagle sanctuary because the birds couldn't be released back into the wild, no press release.

And when Hurricane Helene came through here in Western North Carolina, she wrote a personal check for $1 million and her companies matched it.

She didn't owe North Carolina anything, but she helped us anyway.

She started the Imagination Library because her daddy couldn't read or write. Before he passed, he told her it was the most important thing she ever did.

We are getting there… just a few more finishing touches! Year 6 of the Minnesota State Fair, and I’m over the moon… and tired as usual. As most of our followers know, this is our biggest event of the year and some of us are gone for 16 days 💤 This is our Super Bowl. It takes a village to get it done, prepare, and make enough product to serve our customers for 12 days. I cannot thank everyone enough, from my team to my family and most of all, our lovely customers! Not to mention this kicks off 5 months of events and shows. Many of you know Justin is a farmer… this is my harvest season too, it’s a pure chaotic mess through Christmas for my team and family… it’s the fun time, we’re two ships passing in the night. Still wouldn’t trade a thing. See you at the Great Minnesota Get-Together 🎡
