Meeting the Severns family yesterday and being part of the dedication of Tina’s memorial was an honor for our family. We will treasure the gift they gave us and think of their wonderful family and Tina every time we look at it.
Please take a minute to read Tina’s story. More to come on The Tina Severns Legacy Foundation.

As we recognize National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (April 20–24, 2026), the Falls Township Police Department is honored to announce a collaborative memorial project with Grand Affair Party Rentals to honor the life of Tina Severns, who was tragically taken from her family in 1986 at just 13 years old.

This memorial space, featuring a bench and signs in Tina’s memory, will also serve as a place of comfort and reflection for all victims of crime and their loved ones.

📍 Location: 651 West Trenton Avenue, Morrisville
🚗 Parking: Please park at Wawa, 545 West Trenton Avenue, and walk the short distance along the sidewalk to the memorial site.
🕑 Dedication Ceremony: Friday, April 24 at 2:00 PM

Tina’s mother, twin sister, family, friends, Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan, Nova Bucks, and others will be present to share remarks and unveil the memorial. We invite the community to join us as we dedicate this space in Tina’s honor and remind all that no victim is ever forgotten, no matter how much time has passed.

Tina's Story:
Tina was a beloved daughter, twin, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She touched all of our hearts deeply in her short life. As part of a large and loving family, she found joy in family gatherings, visiting loved ones, singing and dancing with her sisters and friends, and spending time outdoors. At just 13 years old, Tina had a kind, caring, and lighthearted spirit. She dreamed of one day working in healthcare or caring for animals. We know Tina would have grown into a remarkable woman, enriching the lives of her family, friends and community. Though her life was tragically cut short, her warmth, innocence and love continue to inspire us.

One night, Tina made an unexpected choice, deciding to go along with a friend’s plan to hang out in the neighborhood for some fun. Unbeknownst to them, there was a man watching their every move. He followed them, posing as a police officer in an unmarked car with flashing lights and an official-looking badge. He pulled over their car and dismissed the friends, telling them they were free to go. Then, he took the girls with him, claiming they were violating a new curfew. Being teenagers and unaware that anyone could impersonate a police officer, they didn’t question his authority and went along with him. The man dropped off Tina’s friend and said he would take Tina home, but he never did. Tragically, that was the last time anyone saw Tina alive. This man, posing as a police officer, kidnapped her, violently assaulted and r***d her then left her to die in a ditch on the side of the road in Falls Township. We learned that this man had recently been released from prison for a similar crime. He returned to Northeast Philadelphia and once again began his pattern of crime. That summer, Tina became his fourth victim.

We are deeply grateful to Kevin and Debra Metz of Grand Affair Party Rentals for providing a permanent place where Tina’s memory, and the memories of so many others can live on.

In Tina’s memory, we hope this peaceful space offers comfort, reflection, and a reminder of the resilience of those who continue forward after unimaginable loss.

🕯 Falls Township Police to honor murder victim 🕯
