There’s a lot of new faces around here, so I figured I’d say hi 🙂

This page has evolved so much over the past few years — if you’ve been here a while, you’ve probably noticed the shift (thanks for still being here!). We started off with only vintage rug content, but here we are: working with Syrian artisans and sharing the beauty of my home country. When I started this business, Syria wasn’t safe for my family and me to visit — it was just the source of inspiration. Now I get to visit safely and source beautiful treasures for your home while I’m there. Bringing my two worlds together like that is a dream come true, and I’m so excited for where this business is headed. Don’t worry, friends — we’re still filling your home with gorgeous rugs, we’re just sharing more of the in-between moments too. Syrian, thrifter, traveler, creative... it’s all part of the brand🫶🏽🧿

A day in Damascus — or the closest thing to one.
From ducking into workshops and sitting in city traffic, to eating lunch Teta had been cooking since morning and grabbing bites off the street in between it all, to hours lost in the souk hunting down pieces for the shop — this is the everyday version of Syria that doesn’t usually make it into a single post.

Lucky indeed. It’s been a few weeks since I got back and Damascus is still all I think about. I’m taking my time getting through everything I shot there — not because I forgot, but because I don’t want the trip to end. Consider this the first of many more Damascus stories still coming 💞🇸🇾
