The Zaffe, also known as the grand entrance, of an Arab wedding has always been my favorite part about our weddings. It’s such a fun way to get the party started and get everyone hyped up—it’s an important piece of our culture and something I wanted to share with you 🥰

Hi, hello, we’re alive – and we have A LOT to catch you up on. 🤍

Honestly? Running a small business while life is happening at full speed is no joke. The last few months have been a beautiful, chaotic whirlwind and somewhere in the middle of it all, showing up here took a backseat. We’re sorry for going quiet, and we’re excited to be back.

But first, here’s what we’ve been up to:

I got married!! 🎊 Surprise! We tied the knot last weekend surrounded by our favorite people, and I had the best time introducing my husband to the full Arab wedding experience – it’s safe to say he had the time of his life (the video of his face is proof, swipe 👀).

Holly has been busy getting ready for her next chapter in life as well – she’s expecting a baby boy this September! 👶🏼 We are SO excited to welcome a little rugrat into the Chaos fam ❤️

We’ve also been staying busy with and our workshops – and we’re actually celebrating ONE YEAR of workshops this week! 🎉 Join us tomorrow for everyone’s favorite, the Warak Enab Workshop at at 6:30PM.

And the news I’m most excited about: I’m headed back to Syria at the end of the month – this time with my husband! It’ll be his first visit and my first time bringing an “outsider” home, and I honestly cannot wait to show him everything. We’ll be sourcing, exploring, and sharing all of it with you as always 🇸🇾🫶🏼

Thanks for sticking with us through our quiet season. We’re back, we’re full of good things to share, and we’re not going anywhere.

On Sunday, we hosted our very first floral bouquet workshop in the studio with 💐 Together, we raised $1,100 in support of their medical missions and prosthetic projects.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, created with us, and supported such a meaningful cause—and to for keeping us caffeinated all morning 💖
Safe to say this won’t be our last floral workshop… we had way too much fun 🌸

This is your sign to decorate your home with whatever makes you happy, no matter how “untraditional” it might be.

As someone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas, but loves the festivity of the holidays, I opted to turn my cactus into my holiday tree 🥲 I added some leftover pearl garland from last years shop display and some vintage tassel ornaments I found on eBay and now my cactus looks like a Christmas tree straight outta Joshua Tree 😂

I also added some seashell clusters to my garland, I pulled these shells out of a collection I’ve been holding onto since high school! And as a beach girly, forever and always, adding sea shells to my holiday decor seemed like an appropriate little touch to make it mine 🥰

Only one more weekend left before Christmas! I’m not sure where December went but it’s flyingggg by.
We’re doing our best to keep the Souk fully stocked for all the holiday shopping, but we do have some items that are running very low and we won’t be getting anymore until January, so if you are on the hunt for something specific, don’t wait!

We’re only 10 days away from Christmas Eve — where did December go?! We will be open everyday until Christmas Day! 🫶🏽
We’re doing our best to keep the Souk stocked with all of your favorites but you guys have been SO amazing, we’re running low on a lot of items (no matter how prepared I thought I was) and we won’t be restocking until January. So if you’re hoping to get something specific (everyone’s fav + ) I highlyyyy recommend getting in soon! 💝

Thank you as always for supporting us and shopping small for your holiday gifts. This time of year is so so so important to us small biz owners and it can truly make or break our year. Thank you thank you, or shookrun as we say in Arabic 🥰
