On Saturday 8/22, we’ll be celebrating our 5th‼️birthday with our first ever Backstock Sale ($15, $25, $35 racks), gifts with purchases over $150, and treats from Vanilya Bakery 😋

Our deeply discounted markdown racks will be on the sales floor beginning Friday, but the rest of the festivities will only be taking place Saturday 8/22.

everyone, MEET ZAHRA 👋👋👋

if you’ve been by the shop lately, you’ve most likely met the newest addition to our August Moon team, Zahra!

Zahra grew up in San Diego, California and made the move to Philadelphia this past April. she’s always had an eye for fashion, and worked in boutiques & retail for several years in CA.

she’s an expert in styling and is your go-to gal in the fitting room. she knows what’s trending but brings her own personal style to the shop, so her expertise is to be trusted — she won’t send you home in anything you don’t love! 🔒

Zahra is currently studying fashion at LIM College, and is excited to expand her experience in the entrepreneurial & creative corners of the industry. we’re so thrilled to watch her grow alongside the boutique 🪴

if you are someone who generally likes to shop with me (Kristina) at the boutique — trust me, you are in good hands with Zahra! catch her mostly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays.

peak summer 🫶 is when you dine à la fresca and come home and sit outside for one more glass of wine. you rip off the cute ‘fit you wore to dinner and wrap yourself in your favorite linen set, fully covered even though you’re sweating a bit, because you’ll get eaten alive by mosquitos otherwise. it’s at least 2 half showers a day, always with one before bed, when you spend your whole day bouncing around in your favorite sundress, since it feels illegal to be inside when the sun is out even if humidity is 88%. it’s watermelon or ice cream at any hour of the day, any day of the week. it’s living in the present yet already feeling nostalgic because you’re proactively dreading the change of seasons ahead. it feels so short yet so long because you’ve been up since sunrise and it’s 8:30pm and the sun is just beginning to set.

every year around this time I revel in the magic that is summer, and I’m reminded how August Moon was born out of moments like these. effortless, elevated, in-the-moment. when getting dressed is easy, feeling good is inevitable ✨
