This post is about showing up.

I attended the Whatnot CEO interview this morning.

There were almost 1,400 people in the room, and the chat was moving SO fast it was illegible.

But I asked a question anyway.

Now, alot of people were commenting complaints, pitching their shows, making negative remarks.

But the moderator asked for questions, so I gave it a shot.

I asked 2 questions about specific features, and 1 more generic question which was:

"What 3 marketing initiatives is WN implementing this year to grow potential buyer base and raise app awareness?"

And guess what happened.

I squeeled like a little girl and did a happy dance when I heard the mod say "Here's a great question from Blue Unicorn Boutique 💙🦄!"

Did I get an influx of new followers? Nope.

Did I get my name heard by the CEO of Whatnot, asking a thoughtful question?
YUP.

Visibility, being forward-looking, adding value... THAT'S how you get noticed.

As a followup, TODAY I will message support and ask about the process of being interviewed on a seller spotlight, and of course reference that my question appeared on this show.

I do a seller education show already teaching how to safely buy pallets, and I know there have been a few WN employees in those shows.

Show up.
Engage thoughtfully.
Followup.
