Town of Talking Rock, Ga.

Town of Talking Rock, Ga. A quaint little historic town, great shopping, one room School House Teaching Museum, beautiful park with event pavilion next to our creek.

The tiny, historic Town of Talking Rock is located in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains about 4.5 miles north of Jasper off 515. It is the area where the Trail of Tears began and still looks much like it did when it was incorporated in 1883. The great shops are filled with antiques, collectibles, gifts, books, vintage games, and so many memories. We have beautiful murals painted by loca

l artists depicting the town and history of the area. The third weekend in October is perhaps our favorite time of year as we celebrate our annual two day Heritage Days Festival. We enjoy having vendors and visitors return each year to celebrate the fall season and our heritage with us. It is a wonderful time of great food, music, play time for the kids and antique, craft, art, demonstrations, plays, story telling and much more. Talking Rock has a One Room Schoolhouse Teaching Museum that will open for children who want to see how kids came to class and with reservations children can attend a class as it was taught in the late 1800s by retired schoolteachers. Our beautiful Creek Side Park and Pavilion are attractive to those looking for a family outing or a special event. Reservations for your wedding or other event for our Pavilion are available on our website www.talkingrockga.com
