Pat's Kitchen - Homemade with Love

Pat's Kitchen - Homemade with Love Hi everyone, I'm Lisa, the owner, baker, dishwasher, packager, digital manager and shipping person at Pat's Kitchen. That was so important to me.

I'm so happy to be here, sharing this adventure with all of you! Pat’s Kitchen grew from a lifelong love of baking and cooking and sharing with others. My mom, Pat, instilled those qualities in me. Like mother like daughter is so true in this case. There is nothing I love more than having a bunch of family and friends gathered around the table eating good food and having great conversation. I had

told my mom a few years ago that I wanted to start a small bakery / food business just before my husband retired. She loved the idea and was looking forward to being included and helping where she could. Our elderly loved ones need to feel included and my moms life had revolved around her baking and gardening, neither of which she was able to do anymore. What I had been planning would be a perfect fit for both of us. Well, my husband is hoping to retire in about a year but little did I know at the start of this planning that last November we would lose my mom. Everything changed. Hopes, plans, dreams all seemed lost. Going through the grieving process, I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue with my plans. After a couple of months and a lot of tears, I decided that going forward was the best way to honor my Mamma. The first thing I did was make a name change for the business and Pat’s Kitchen - Homemade with Love was born. Working through all of these plans has been a great healing gift for me. This business is about good old fashioned recipes. I don’t do fancy decorated cakes and cookies but we have plenty of talented local ladies that do beautiful work in those areas. I could offer yummy Sourdough breads but will leave that to my friends at the Old Sundance Market, although I may have some other sourdough products to offer. While I will occasionally post something that is currently trending, most of my items will be the sweet treats you remember from childhood. Those wonderful oatmeal raisin cookies grandma used to make or those beautiful loaves of yeast bread your moms made, that’s my jam. There’s definitely something to be said for nostalgia in baking and cooking. It is very important to me that the food items that I bring you are made with the best quality ingredients that I can get. I use almost all Organic ingredients in my personal home baking and cooking and gifting to my friends and I will be doing the same in Pat’s Kitchen. Most of the ingredients used will be certified USDA Organic and if I can’t get a certain item in organic, it will be Non GMO or I just won‘t make it. I care about the food items I make for my own family and I won’t offer for sale anything that I wouldn’t feed them. Yes the cost are more but knowing that Organic is the best, healthiest food option that I can provide, means everything to me. I have a lot of plans for this business which will come in different phases. There are so many things that I can do, things that also fill my creative need. As a former restaurant owner, I would also love to get a commercial food license again. Not to open a restaurant but just to expand the types of food that I could offer in this business setting. I thank you, all of my family, friends and soon to be friends, that are along with me on this journey. I’m looking forward to bringing you lots of sweet treats and other homemade goodies filled with lots of love and organic goodness 💜

Many Blessings to you all from Lisa and Pat’s Kitchen

Good afternoon everyone! As most of you know, our water heater went out Friday morning and wasn't fixed until Saturday evening so that set me way back on baking for my photo's. Then I got notice from GoDaddy that the website I've had for years, the hosting package was at it's end of life. This has been the biggest issue for me because it took me away from all the final preps I needed to do. It has been a nightmare for me to try to figure that out on top of catching up with photo's and finalizations. Well, I was up until 4am this morning trying to finish up pictures and a different payment processor and I am just toast. I was going to go ahead and just post a few items for a soft launch but that is not sitting right with me. I'm a planner and don't like surprises and I'm trying hard to go with the flow here, lol. I'm also a numbers person especially Angel numbers and I got my sign at 11:11 this morning. I was praying, thinking about if I should go ahead with this opening today or wait until Sunday and I looked up and it was 11:11. Thank you for the nudge Mom. So Sunday, May 3rd it is.
💜😇💜
My niece is going to help me with the website issues so I'll be talking with her Tuesday evening on that. She is an answer to a prayer. I will have a back up payment processor ready just in case it's a bigger delay there. Oh technology, gotta love it right, NOT.

Thanks for hanging with me everyone. I just can't do things that feel all discombobulated 😆
I have to trust my intuition and there is always a reason for delays. We look back after things have happened and we can usually see why.

Special little treats will be included with everyone's purchase during the month of May to hopefully make up for the slight delay.
Love to you all!
