Bread is baked and ready. Today's lineup includes classic sourdough ($10), raisin cinnamon (golden & purple raisins) and green chile w/sharp cheddar for $12 each. You can pick up at The Bread Shed in Lakeside @ 721 Mountain View Drive and at the Treasure Chest on Woodland Road. Next Saturday (Aug. 15) we will be open and on the 2026 Garden & Farm Tours sponsored by the White Mountain Community Garden. Join us for free refreshments, sourdough loaves will be available for sale and all proceeds go to the White Mountain Community Garden. Call me anytime to talk about sourdough bread! I'll post updates about my new commercial bread oven, a dream in the making (and now a reality) after today's bread sale has finished. Here's this week's lineup: classic sourdough ($10), green chile cheddar ($12) & the new feature loaf of the week: Sunflower and Sesame Seed honey whole wheat ($10). This recipe is from my favorite baker's book "The Perfect Loaf" by Maurizio Leo from Albuquerque, NM. Made with whole grain einkorn flour (thank you Vanya), organic white flour, water, sourdough starter, sunflower & black sesame seeds, honey and salt. I encourage you to try it. Had my first almost-win playing mahjong (American) tonight. My mom, across the country in Florida called to tell me you can't use a joker with a single or pair. She had to do some very significant zooming in to catch that. Mahjong is so much fun! If you play, and want to share tips with me I welcome all the guidance I can get. I did manage to make some bread which will be ready early Saturday morning. The weekend bread lineup includes: mixed raisin-cinnamon; tart cherry, cranberry & pecan; black sesame seed with everything bagel seasoning (or without) and classic sourdough. 50 loaves total available. Call, text or stop by if you would like some and please share with anyone else who may want to try homemade sourdough bread made by an artisan bread enthusiast who never learned to play chess but wants to give mahjong a try.

Just out of oven and available: 6 sourdough loaves: 2 jalapeño cheddar and 4 dried fruit (peach, apricot, apple & raisin). Here's how it works. Come to the Bread Shed located at 721 Mountain View Drive in Lakeside (sign out front). Walk to the back of the driveway, the Bread Shed door is open. Pick what you'd like, pay by cash, Zelle or Venmo (sign on table and posted in my photo Feed here). Loaves this month are $10 each. Any bread without a name next to it is available.
