Yeah, I still got it... but I'm not gonna lie, mixing with vinyl is a major labor of love. Records are prone to all the issues of the medium, surface noise, skips, low-end feedback, warping, some clown bumping into your decks... Not to mention the sheer weight of a couple bags of 12" plus gawd forbid you've got to carry a pair of 1200s and a mixer. Sorry, I don't miss it. I love records and I have a bunch of them, but I'll take Serato any day for playing out, it's the same music and the vast majority of people don't know or care. I'm literally from the old school, fight me 😜
I do the occasional Jazz gigs where I play records, but I bring 1 bag and a pair of headphones and it's low pressure, I'm good ...
