At long last, this beloved dollhouse, built by a grandfather and an uncle, has been restored to be passed on to another generation. We could feel the love and devotion they put into it as we repainted, refinished, replaced, wired and wallpapered it while respecting its original authenticity. Carry on beloved dollhouse, carry on ❤️

We are taking a beloved old Greenleaf Van Buren dollhouse across the finish line to be passed on to the next generation. We had to match and replace old shingles, replace broken chimneys, install upgraded doors and replace the missing/broken railings and by golly, we are LOVING how it’s turning out so far. Thrilled with how well the CLA70248 railings suitvthis house. Next challenge will be to paint the exterior with the windows already having been glued on……PLEASE, folks, don’t be gluing the components on before the shell is painted along with the windows. 😉

All kinds of schtuff happening in the shop this past week. Some new estate finds, dug out some hidden inventory, Sherredawn has been making some new items…. and we got some help from a real architect with a wallpaper challenge! Customers from as close as Ohio and as far away as Alabama. If ya still got some monayyy on your way back east from stop on to view it all in person!

Exciting News: With the addition of New Team Member, Elyse, we are now officially open on Mondays 10:00-5:00! Elyse is an experienced miniaturist, artist and sales person, and we are thrilled to have her joun us in our Pittsburgh store!

Dave and Nora Kemp, who run the Westmoreland Hospital Greensburg Dollhouse Show, are restoring a dollhouse to pass on to the next generation and came in to inquire if we by some miracle had a long since discontinued Builders Choice paint color to touch up their original build. Happy Dance, Happy Dance, not only did we manage to dig it up, it wasn’t even dried out! Seeeeee….thats we don’t throw anything out!
