If you're anything like me when I started my nursing career I was unaware of the amounts of specialties available to explore within the field.

Most of the nursing you imagine is more than likely med-surg because that's what you see on TV, unless you have previous exposure or a developed interest.

You may start out thinking your heart is set on a certain concentration & completely change your mind mid course. That is okay!

Your career is yours & yours alone.

I've taken time to list some of the popular & growing concentrations of nursing. There are other subcategories within these titles to explore.

Follow your heart! Get certifications! Try new things & never be too proud to learn.

Although, we are making great strides to improve our mental health and create equal accessibility of care for all, the need for providers is urgent. With a shortage of therapists and psychiatrist across the system it has created a barrier for those in need of mental health services.

In ways the world has progressed in the physical affects it's experienced from covid, but there are still many struggling from social, behavioral, and mental affects the isolation and loss experienced. Be kind.
