We have a bunny nest being built 😍🪹🐇
Sugar is due on Tuesday and is working on the coziest nest for her fall babies 🥰

Did You Know…

💛Holland Lops are only pregnant for about 31 days.

💛Giving birth for rabbits is called ”Kindling”

💛 Baby bunnies are called “Kits”

💛Bunnies build nests from hay, straw, grass, etc and then pull fur from their bodies to add on top of their nest.

💛Mama bunnies only feed their babies about twice a day and handling domesticated newborn bunnies immediately after birth does NOT make mama abandon them.

💛You can feel around in a bunnies belly to see if you feel any babies. This is called “Palpating” and you look for something small, round & hard. Essentially, you’re feeling for the the baby bunnies head!

The Carrot Patch Hoppery’s “Splash” 🖤🤍

Splash was one of our babies born in the spring from our Sugar bunny 🩵

Splash was just meant to be with us. He had a home, & then his family couldn’t take him. So he found another family who had him until recently & decided to give him back to us. So this time, he’s staying 🎉
Everyone knows how bad my girl wanted a broken black homegrown bunny, and that’s what she got somehow someway!

He will only be a pet, so we are still praying for a show quality broken black bunny but for now Splash will do 🥰

And yes, Splash is on the counter 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s normal around here, k? 😂

My girl learned how to trim bunny nails today & of course, her bunny had all the patience in the world & made it so easy for her. He’s truly the best boy🥰

Our friend Lee at Rainbow Bunnies gifted my girl Burgs Bunstoppable. She knew he would be loved and shown as much as possible with us! Lee has POURED into my girl & provided her with everything she ever needed to be successful and have the time of her life showing rabbits. She’s taught us both so much 💛🩷

I can’t thank you enough for giving my baby the greatest bunny of all time 🐰🦄 we love you dearly!
