These two snake plants were both rescues: the one on the left from someone who moved from a large house to a small condo and the one on the left from an estate sale where everything was being sold due to the family moving to Africa for missions work. Both had their own issues, as you can see the left one was flopping over - HARD - to both sides and the right one... well... the girl admitted to me she hadn't watered it in 2 months to see how well it COULD do, without. 🙃 Yeah.

I decided since they were similar height, I'd replant them together. Snake plants like to be pot-bound, meaning they're okay 👍đŸģ in close quarters with other snake plants. I suspect these will shoot out a flower due to stress of being re-potted, and then in a few months, I'm hoping I'll see real growth.

Oftentimes, I just wear non-latex gloves when working with re-potting, so I can really feel the plants and the soil and other times, like tonight, I just dig my nails (literally) into the dirt. I mixed up some indoor soil, Orchid bark, perlite, and coconut coir, along with a few rocks from the top of the right planter, and look at this beauty now. I may remove or readjust the stakes after I move it back to work, where the left plant has been for the last year, but otherwise, I'm actually very happy with this.

I hope to see a lot of people on Saturday at the North Haverhill Fairgrounds Craft Fair and Good Truck Festival from 11 to 4! I have plants galore, and I know it would make my husband very happy not to see them everywhere in the house. I mean, I'd be happy about it, too!

Did you know that I'm available for rehab and re-potting services? This sunburned zygote cactus is heading, which is evident by the lack of wrinkly leaves and signs of new growth. The owner loves this plant, but struggles with knowing what to do. My advice for her: give it new soil.

Plants don't always need a bigger pot to get better. Sometimes, they just need fresh soil. I'll check back on this one in a month or two so we can see how it's looking then. I gave it fresh soil and upgraded the pot SLIGHTLY by removing the nursery pot it was in, within the planter. I bet it'll start producing flowers within 6 months.

If you're in the central NH area and need some assistance, send me a message! Let's see if I can help you to re-pot or rehab your favorite little plant today, too!

I also potted a bunch of spider babies yesterday in those non-traditional planters. The glass-mosaic ones were actually candle holders!
