Round Barn Woodcrafts Functional wood creations Round Barn Woodcrafts is a home business, owned by John Hechel, Plymouth, WI. Our emphasis is on functional woodcrafts.

Our two person operation (John, and his wife Trudie) make hand-crafted chopping blocks, cutting boards, pizza peels, bench scrapers, rolling pins, chess, checker and cribbage boards, clipboards, salt & pepper shakers, and much more! We invite you to come out to a craft show in your area to see our products made from good Midwestern hardwoods like cherry, black walnut and maple, along with exotic woods from Central America, South America, Africa and beyond.

We've made the decision to bow out of the Holy Hill Basilica Art and Craft Fair this Saturday. It's not something we're happy about, but sometimes Mother Nature wins! If, by some miracle, the forecast changes drastically tomorrow, we'll see if we can still go, but we're 99% sure we won't be there. While we remain uncertain about the weather predictions for Holy Hill this weekend we are still working hard in the shop. If the weather wins and you find yourself trapped inside during the storm a few cold long necks might be in order. So we have you (un)covered with these great bottle openers. The forecast for Saturday's Holy Hill Art and Craft Fair isn't looking great. Thunderstorms, 100% chance of rain, etc. PLUS downpours on Friday night - 1 to 2 inches of rain!

So here's a question for our peeps out there - with a forecast such as this, would you put your raincoat on, grab your umbrella and come to shop, or would you stay home and binge watch Netflix???

#1 Colored Epoxy fill?

Or

2 Router cut it deeper and glue in a contrasting wood?

Sorry we had to cancel our show yesterday; John didn't want to spread the germs to everyone!!

W'll be back in the shop again tonight to get ready for one of our favorites (and we can call it that after being there last year for the first time!)....Paoli Art in the Park!

Dates are September 5th and 6th at Paoli Park. You can't miss it' it's 12 miles from downtown Madison. Hours are 9am - 4pm both days. Hopefully Mother Nature will bless us with pleasant temps and NO RAIN! If you have a special "no rain" dance that you use, go ahead and crank it up!!

With the chance of severe weather tonight's set up was delayed. While this makes tomorrow a longer day for many of us artists SAFETY ALWAYS is priority and we applaud the show directors for their decisions made.
For this gave us more shop time to complete walnut charcuterie boards, cheese slicers, rolling pins, and a few more items. Stop at our booth in downtown Green Bay tomorrow to check and see that we're still awake🤪. Hours are 9am until 7pm on Saturday. Sunday's hours are 10am until 4pm.
Slap me awake if I'm snoozing.😴😴😴😴
