When I was a young girl I used to watch my mom get her "crafty kits" in the mail... they were kits to make decor for the house, cute little nic-nacs etc. She would paint all the little pieces, glue them together and wallah! My mom and her girlfriends used to love 'dragging' us kids to all those Craft Fairs usually at Holiday time and at . Well, turns out she wasn't really dragging me - as I LOVED
looking at everything people made with fabric, wood, glue, paint, dough - yes dough was popular one time !! I used to walk around and say to myself, "I could do that - and that - and that !" So I started at about age 10 and asked my mom to show me how to use the sewing machine and without patterns - started making my sister and I our Barbie doll clothes ! I was really quite successful at it !! Wish I had some to show off now :(
Now, I have handed down the "craft bug" to my only daughter Ariana - and we love making things together !! I'm blessed to be able to work side by side with my baby girl creating things. The Growth chart was probably her first original creation and she has sold a ton of them just word of mouth ! They're a really neat gift for the little girl or little man in your life. We're just getting started !!
