I know this is gonna rub some people the wrong way and I just honestly don't give a s**t.
I was having a conversation with the missus this morning how I am really actually glad I'm not an Am or Pro for one of those bigger companies or even the smaller ones, where the common thread is that it's a "go big or go home" mentality towards tricks.
I own 2 skateboard companies and I refuse to lose my riders to stupidity and ego in a rat race to make your mark.
What good is your mark being made in the annals of skate history if its followed by the mark of your brains all over the pavement?
I, by no means, skate safe. Danger surrounds you at all turns. But when you feel you need to push the boundaries to remain relevant in the skateworld, defying your own safety, then you've lost what it is to skate and be a skater, in my humble opinion.
Call me a codger, old fogey, I don't give a s**t. I'd rather have my riders than not have em.
Sincerely,
Bossman
