I wrote this song after Donald was elected in 2016. It hurt my heart that the country had voted in a manner that encouraged overt racism, sexism and greed. He made bullying cool again. I’ve been growing my voice ever since speaking out against injustice. Last year today I sang this song for you Portland and you sang it back. How many children? How many sons? How many daughters? Count. Every. One. As America we are still adding to the count. What will you do differently this year that will change the future for the better?
