To the mama who thinks she’s never going to make it through this season…

I cried. A lot. Like, almost every day a lot. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and convinced I was somehow getting it all wrong.

People would tell me, “Enjoy it. It goes by so fast.” And I’d think… yeah I'm not so sure about that.

Then one day you wake up, it’s 80°, you’re sitting on the deck with your coffee, and the house is quiet.

You don’t necessarily miss the sleepless nights or the endless laundry… but dang, those years disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Now I get to hang out with these really cool adult humans I somehow had a hand in raising. And they’re pretty amazing.

If I could go back, I’d wrap my younger self in the biggest friggin’ hug and probably cry right along with her. Then I’d whisper, “You’re doing better than you think.”

So if you’re in the thick of it today, hear this from someone on the other side: You’re doing a good job, Mama. One day you’ll look around and realize… it all turns out alright.

I guess that’s why this piece ended up being called “The Chosen One.” Sometimes it’s not about the fancy moments. It’s the simple ritual of a fresh cup, a quiet pause, and the little things that make an ordinary day feel extraordinary.

✨🐾 Our Sweet Little Meeka... 🐾✨

Where do we even begin with this beautiful girl?
Despite the obstacles life has thrown her way, Meeka has blossomed into the most loving, gentle, and confident pup. Watching her grow has been nothing short of incredible, and we couldn't be more proud of her!

Meeka's journey started in Turks & Caicos, where she survived being chased by a pack of dogs before a kind-hearted soul stepped in to save her. She eventually found her way to the amazing team at Potcake Place K-9 Rescue, who saw exactly what we see today—a resilient little warrior with a heart full of love.

Since arriving with us, Meeka has spent time decompressing, learning to trust, and building confidence. Just like her pal Mini, she has worked through her past and shown us every day that she is ready for bigger adventures.

And now... it's officially time for Meeka to find her forever family! ❤️

Recently, Meeka joined us at an event and completely stole the show. Everyone who met her fell in love with her sweet nature, gentle soul, and those adorable puppy-dog eyes. Honestly... can you blame them? 🥹
