Sometimes you paint a waffle, and it finds its way to a 12-year-old waffle-making enthusiast. 🧇❤️

On Sunday, a young boy and his mom stopped by my booth because he’d seen my waffle painting online and really wanted a print. Turns out, he’s quite the waffle connoisseur and makes them every weekend!

This was just one of the many beautiful connections made this past weekend.

And such a sweet reminder to keep painting what makes ME happy. The right people will find it, connect with it, and sometimes remind me why I picked up a paintbrush in the first place.

Art really does have a way of finding its people. ❤️

Here’s to doing hard things, laughing through the chaos, finding a little peace in the madness, and apparently facing it all without a stitch of makeup. 😂

I spent SO much time bringing this guy to life, and I have to say, watching him leave was a little bittersweet! 🥹

What an incredibly fun project from start to finish! I poured so much love, time, and creativity into him, and I truly hope he brings as much joy to Mystic Aquarium and all its visitors as he brought to me while creating him.
