Rather than straightforward covers, the selections here reinterpret the material with a distinctly Memphis sensibility. Otis Redding’s take on “Day Tripper” transforms the track into a gritty, groove-driven statement, while Booker T. & the M.G.’s recast “Eleanor Rigby” as a stripped-down instrumental meditation. Isaac Hayes stretches “Something” into a lush, expansive soul arrangement, and Carla Thomas delivers a heartfelt live version of “Yesterday” that underscores the emotional core of the original. Leading the lineup is "The Lone Wolf (Lost TV Classics)"—a rarely-seen detective series starring Louis Hayward as globe-trotting fixer Michael Lanyard, blending noir intrigue with old-school sophistication.

On the film side, "Numbered Men" delivers a gritty early prison drama from director Mervyn LeRoy, while "Call of the Flesh" showcases Ramon Novarro at his peak as MGM’s “Latin Lover” in a sweeping romantic musical set in Seville.

Also included: "Jazz Heaven" (1929), a radio-era romantic comedy about a struggling songwriter chasing his big break, and "Strictly Unconventional", a bold pre-Code relationship drama that flips the traditional “happily ever after” on its head.
