SOME SHOP REMINDERS!

- Bobbin Buddies Teen Sewing Club will be meeting TODAY: after school til 7:30. **All invoices have been sent for the month of September. If you did not get yours or would like to reserve your spot, please text message me and let me know.**

- Stitchin’ Squad Homeschool Sewing Club will meet NEXT TUESDAY, from 1-4. PLEASE NOTE: **Schedule change due to Labor Day closure**

- The Sewing Fix will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7, 2026 so we can enjoy Labor Day off and with our family. I hope your boss allows you a day off, and for those of you whom are essential workers, thank you for giving your time to the community!

- The shop is normally OPEN, Mon, Wed, & Friday from 10-2. We’re usually out doing service calls and machine drop off/pick up’s on Tuesdays.

OCCASIONALLY, we have appointments, either personal or for the business during the week, and we may not be open during the posted times.

- It is best to reach us via TEXT MESSAGE! Before you come out to the shop, especially if you live pretty far out. We WILL get back to you ASAP.

- I’m on the phone A LOT responding to customers. I promise I’m not ignoring you, and I WILL call you back. I SINCERELY appreciate those who are patient and understand this.

Some service calls take us in areas we have very low or no signal, and honestly, when I’m with clients and on location, I DO NOT answer my phone. In fact, I usually put my phone straight on DND, because that customer has waited and paid for me to be there and to get 100% of my attention. The same goes for you when I reach you and your machine.

- If you’re interested in signing up for EMERGENCY SERVICES, where you can reach me 24/7, I DO offer that as a monthly service, and I will be happy to send you an invoice. This service starts at $150.00, in addition to the service call prices, parts, etc. This is a premium service which does not cover services, parts, etc.

- We are located at 109 Cumberland Ave. Raeford, NC 28376.

GPS devices and apps/maps WILL take you to the wrong location - about 15-20 minutes away! Yes, it’s very annoying and I have a ticket into Google for them to correct it. It was once corrected, but some still say it takes them there. ** It WILL NOT take you there IF you MANUALLY ENTER 109 Cumberland Ave!**

Once again, I sincerely appreciate those whom are patient and understanding. The Sewing Fix is a one-woman show and a growing small business. I juggle all roles and prioritize things daily. I have a few AMAZING volunteers who offer their help at the shop, and I sincerely appreciate the help they provide me! 🥰

For your enjoyment, this is the beautiful machine I had the pleasure of working on location with yesterday! A 10 needle multi-needle embroidery machine. She was a beauty and makes me wanna work on my own 12-needle embroidery machine again! 💜

HOMESCHOOL FAMILIES!

This one is for y'all! I've had MANY requests for homeschool classes (during the week) over the summer, and I've told everyone I was thinking it through and working on something and would get back to them closer to the end of our sewing camps and when Hoke County schools started back up.

I'd like to invite y'all to stop by Friday evening, between 5-6 to see a couple of options I've chosen to go with. This is an informal meetup where you may sign your child(ren) up and select the option that fits YOUR family the best.

YES - I offer multi-child discounts!
YES - All materials and supplies will be included!
YES - All snacks and drinks included, and sometimes PIZZA because sometimes it helps brighten our days!
YES - I have discounts for multiple programs used at the same time (such as our Teen Sewing Club, "Bobbin Buddies" while attending homeschool classes)!

This will be an informal, drop-in style meeting where you come anytime between 5-6pm and see our classroom and some examples of the projects we make.

Depending on the interest and enrollments, I'm thinking THREE age groups at this time, but it will honestly depend on how many are wanting to enroll in each session.

Tentative Groups:
5-7 yrs old
8-12 yrs old
13-18 yrs old

Hope to see you there! Please share with any of your Homeschool friends and groups. I will share with those I know are interested and the groups I've been lucky enough to be accepted into as well.

There are so many changes happening over here, and I haven't been able to be online...I should just get that tattooed on my forehead by now LOL

Today is the start of our LAST 4-H Camp! Y'all, these young kids (9+ yrs old) have kept me BUUUUUSSSSSYYYY, and I've loved almost every minute of it! There were a couple of tears here and there - to be honest, this part makes me sad because I, too, am a perfectionist who has tears show up during moments of frustration. Thankfully, with my education and 30+ years of experience working with children and knowing how to redirect them when needed and change things around.

I SINCERELY appreciate everyone's grace and understanding over the summer. Starting next week, the goal is to get the calls returned, and the machines moving again!!

p.s. YES! I've been taking lots of pics, but mostly of minor's and their work. Some families have requested emoji's over their kids' faces, which requires me editing their faces out...which is time I don't have to devote to that right now, but SOON you'll get to see all of the beautiful creations we've been creating over here.

BOBBIN BUDDIES - our teen sewing group for pre-teens and teens of all genders meets tomorrow, MONDAY, from 11am -3pm. We hope to see you there!All snacks, drinks, and mentoring is included for your monthly cost of $40.

Teens bring a project with them OR they can purchase a pre-made kit from me. Group projects are voted on each week so we try to give guardians a week’s notice if they’d like to purchase kit for it, or to allow their teen to shop for their materials.

Tomorrow, they’ve decided they want to make tote bags again. The past couple of Monday’s has been FILLED with growth & learning, which often means we meet our friend, “Jack” (the seam ripper) more than we get to actually complete a full project, and it can be a bit frustrating for some to be in this phase of learning. SOMETIMES we all just need a little reset to remind ourselves we ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE & CAPABLE!

Due to not making this known to parents ahead of time, there is no kit fee for those who’ve already paid for their August fees, however if you’d like to send a “tip or donation” in, I will happily accept. TBH, Most tips I receive are added to my “Pizza fund”, which allows me to order pizza for our events and new Monday group session 😉

Tips are ALWAYS optional, and ZERO PRESSURE. If funds are tight, please save them for your own house’s needs!! I get it and we’ve all been there. 🥰

What better way to spend a class than having a ?! These two upcoming 4th graders had a blast learning to sew together during a private class. While modeling their new makes, they suddenly started performing something they called a commercial! I said WAIT! Can I record this and actually use it, PLEASE??? The girls were so excited, but I told them they had to wait for their parent’s permission before I could actually post it.

So thankful for families who enjoy trusting me with their most prized people!
