💡 Tuesday Tip | Take your time on the first cuts.

When I start opening up a log, I’m not trying to rush through those first passes.

Getting a good, level reference surface and taking the time to square the cant early makes the rest of the milling process much easier.

Better reference cuts = easier measurements, more consistent boards, and less fighting the log later.

A few extra minutes at the beginning can save you a lot of time by the end. 🪵🪚

This is how it arrives—crated and ready for assembly.

I’m working on a new YouTube video that will take you through the RR150 assembly process from the crate all the way to first use, so stay tuned for that.

The smell of sawdust, the first clean face of lumber, and finally getting to see what’s hiding inside the log.

Sometimes milling really is that simple—good wood, a sharp blade, and a pile of sawdust. 🪵
