✨ Happy Monday from the Josef Originals Birthday Girls ✨

These are one of my all-time favorite collections, and they’re available at 📍 8 Prospect Street, Ridgefield.

I love vintage figurines just as much as vintage china plates, and these are truly something special. I’d love to see the tradition of gifting these for birthdays and milestones make a comeback. 💕

First created in the mid-1940s by Muriel Joseph George in California, these beloved figurines are known for their glossy ceramic finish, delicate 24K gold accents, and signature expressive eyes. Each “Birthday Girl” represents a special year in life.

Originally designed as meaningful birthday gifts, many families collected them year after year creating a beautiful tradition that could be passed down through generations. Earlier pieces are especially treasured for their fine detail and classic black eyes.

Perfect for collectors, thoughtful gifts, or starting your own birthday tradition 🎂

I hope you’ll read this little story🌸🌸 My mom and I have always adored vintage china especially delicate floral pieces. We’ve been collecting for as long as I can remember, and each piece feels like a tiny work of art. Every plate holds a bit of history, brings back cherished memories, and sparks so much joy.

One of my favorite things is how my mom makes it part of her everyday life. She enjoys dinner each night on a different beautiful plate. In my home, vintage china is always in bloom 🌸 It fills my shelves, adorns my walls, and is meant to be used and loved daily. It feels a little sad to think of these treasures tucked away in boxes or forgotten in cabinets when they’re so special and often far more beautiful than what we find today.

That’s what inspired Always In Bloom Studio 🌸 I love giving new life to old china and other cherished things. I enjoy helping you add color and joy to your home and wardrobe in a variety of different ways. Over the years, I’ve collected pieces with the intention of weaving them into everyday living by transforming petite plates and figurines into whimsical vignettes, larger pieces into elegant pedestal stands, teacups into sweet little gardens, and more. I’ve created bird feeders, jewelry holders, and tiny vessels for succulents 💕Truly, the possibilities are endless.

My newest creations are these ring keepers, but I’ve also shared a few of my favorite designs here. Looking ahead, I’m hoping to offer workshops where you can create your own beautifully functional china pieces. I’ll also be sharing parts of my collection including dishes, teacups, and more available for rent or purchase for your next special soirée through a new little service I’m putting together. Best of all prices will be fair for all to enjoy!💕

These pieces have brought me so much joy, and I can’t wait to share them with you 💕🌸

Mondays just feel a little brighter especially with spring break around the corner and thoughts drifting to warm, sunny destinations. I have a soft spot for floral straw bags (I call them my “Bahamas bags”) and can never resist adding a new one to my collection. I keep them displayed in my room, and they’re one of the first things I see each morning. For me, it’s an instant mood boost. Maybe it’s the vibrant embroidered flowers, or maybe it’s the way they bring a little piece of summer into every day. Either way, I adore them.

I love styling them, collecting them, and of course, hunting for the next beautiful find. I currently have a couple styles in the shop, and more are on the way very soon to Flipping Creative, 8 Prospect Street Ridgefield. Do you have a favorite from this group? 🌸 Wishing you a happy, sunshine-filled Monday!

There’s something magical about the colors of Easter. Soft pastels, fresh greens, radiant yellows all carry the promise of spring and new beginnings. But nowhere do these colors come alive more beautifully than in pysanky eggs.

Pysanky aren’t just decorated eggs. They are stories written in color. Deep reds symbolize love and life. Golden yellows reflect warmth, harvest, and light. Black holds the mystery of eternity, while white speaks of purity and hope. Every line, every shade, every intricate pattern is layered with meaning, passed down through generations like a whispered blessing.

As Easter arrives, these colors remind us that beauty isn’t random, it’s intentional, symbolic, and deeply rooted in tradition. Just like spring itself, pysanky celebrate renewal, resilience, and the delicate art of transformation.

May your Easter be as vibrant, meaningful, and full of life as the colors that define it. Please stop by my Always In Bloom Studio within the lovely : 8 Prospect Street Ridgefield to see all of my colorful Easter offerings including these beautiful eggs and handpainted egg cups🌸🥚

It’s time for my annual Always in Bloom Oscar fashion highlights. 🌸 I bet you could have guessed some of my favorites!

I am absolutely in love with Rose Byrne’s strapless black gown by Christian Dior couture, featuring beautifully embroidered florals along the bodice and hem. Floral needlework is something I adore and feature throughout my shops, so this look instantly captured my heart.

Next, Jessie Buckley’s scarlet red and bubblegum pink dress by Chanel felt like a stunning ode to Old Hollywood glamour. In 1956, Grace Kelly wore a ball gown with a very similar silhouette to the Academy Awards! Perhaps that’s why I love it so much. 💕

SWIPE to see some of my other favorites. Pastels always make me think of spring and Easter, and these dresses in lemon yellow, lavender, pale pink, and mint were simply amazing. My pick of the bunch is Felicity Jones in this pale yellow gown by Prada. It instantly gives off a 1960s vibe, while the tulle overlay with scattered crystals and the soft train adds a hint of 1950s elegance. I adore it and would wear this look in an instant.

What was your favorite look from the night? I’d love to hear! ✨

Collection time🌸 Call it cool or call it crazy… here’s a little sneak peek at one of my favorite collections 💕

When I was a little girl, I always hoped to get one of these Betty Bubbles Dolls for Christmas. They were filled with bubble bath, and anytime there was a holiday grab bag at school, all the girls wanted one, or at least I did 🤣

They’re hard to find now, but I think I’ve done a pretty good job tracking a few down. 💖

Oh… and I guess you could say I collect ribbon too…all kinds! Vintage and new. The more colorful, the better. 🎀✨in coming days I’ll be bringing ribbon and lots of my vintage findings like buttons& baubles & more to my shop at , 8 Prospect Street Ridgefield. Till then, message me here to inquire about what I have available.💕

What do you collect? I’d love to hear! 🌸🌸

Last week I mentioned that I’d be starting to share some of the things I love to collect. My collections range from porcelain figures and fine china to vintage dolls and toys, handbags, and colorful enamel flower-power pins. In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing pieces from each of these, so stay tuned.

I’m drawn to items that spark joy or bring back precious childhood memories. Many of my collections are quite hard to part with, but I do love being able to share special pieces in my shops from time to time.

Tin trays are another treasure I collect, and I’m sharing a few with you today. I adore them because each one feels like a little work of art. They’re beautiful enough to display, yet practical enough to use for serving…the perfect blend of function and charm. Here I’ve included a few of my favorites in reds and blacks. The state trays are especially fun and kitschy. All of these are available at my shop and I have some lovely florals at my location as well. Drop me a note if you see something you love.💕💕💕

What makes your soul happy? For me, it’s flowers & color and yes, always vintage. I cherish sunny days and time spent with family and friends. Collecting unique treasures and designing lovely pieces also brings me so much joy.

We’re getting lots of snow here in the Northeast, but spring is coming and that’s such a happy thought. My handmade floral jewelry is a little touch of spring and summer you can wear all year round.

I’m on vacation now, but before I left, I created these lovely vintage bookmarks adorned with handmade floral cabochons. What a beautiful way to save your place in a favorite book. They make wonderful gifts too, tucked into pretty little book pages and given with love. They will be arriving in my shops and later this week but you can also claim one here first with a comment if the color that you would like. They will be priced at $18 each. Thank you for following along with me and stay tuned next week for a new weekly feature of some of my favorite collections.

Happy President’s Day! 🇺🇸

I’m forgoing my usual flowery finds today to share something a little more patriotic. This iconic John F. Kennedy plate is such a nostalgic treasure! And didn’t it feel like every parent and grandparent had a set of these vintage glasses on their bar? They just seem to pair so well together.

The glasses may have sold last week, but my shop is still stocked with an extensive collection of presidential plates and china, along with other patriotic pieces that are perfect for display. These treasures add an instant pop of history and Americana charm to your home. Enjoy a little of Glenn Miller’s “At the President’s Birthday” and let me know if you’d like to see more of my china plate collection or other historical books, plaques, treasures and glassware.

I’m so excited to share some of my favorite joyful pieces with you today. They’ve been bestsellers in my shop over the past few months…perhaps because we all need a little extra positivity and joy in our lives right now.

Each piece blends encouraging quotes with sweet vintage ladies and, of course, lots of flowers. I often incorporate pressed and dried flowers into these creations. I’ve loved pressing flowers ever since I discovered a wonderful book called The Art of Pressed Flowers while thrifting years ago (I’ve included a photo of it as you flip through!).

There’s something truly special about pressed flowers. They are always in bloom, forever preserved. Pairing them with uplifting words in these little works of art is my hope to help you bloom too. 🌸 Swipe left and zoom in to see my designs. A couple are sold and one is reserved, but quite a few are still available as are the other items in the photos including my pressed flowers pendants and other collectibles. Simply send me a note or comment and with your selection. Thank you for following along and shopping with me🌸💕💕
