Bad news...the laser head needs replacing.
Good news...company is sending me 2 since it is still under warranty.

Bad news...The laser's part is in transit, y'all.
Good news...Instead of sulking about it, I plugged in the table saw and made do with what's already sitting in the shop.

Enter the newest thing off the workbench: a 3-piece fall pumpkin set, hand-cut and hand-painted, no laser required. Stack them, stagger them by size, or spread them across the mantle — they look just as good solo as they do grouped. $45 for the set of 3.
Turns out when one tool goes down, there's always another one waiting to be picked back up.
And here's a sneak peek at the lanterns that are next in line while I wait on that laser head. These will also be in a set of 3 and can be painted or stained.

I told you the laser's been busy and these coasters are proof.
Celtic knots for the Scottish and Irish blood running through this family, South Carolina palmetto and moon for anyone claiming Carolina pride, a full golf set for the guy who thinks 18 holes counts as cardio, and — my personal favorite batch — coasters that just say the quiet part out loud. "Don't ask, just pour." "My doctor says I need glasses." Correct on both counts.
Each one's laser engraved on real wood, and yes, the stain varies a little piece to piece because that's what happens when nature does the coloring instead of a factory. That's a feature, not a flaw.

The laser has been firing nearly non-stop all week. After my day job, I've been coming home & running until 10 or later each night. Today I've spent most the afternoon learning to play with new power tools as I'm teaching myself how to "hopefully" build my own display pieces for next month's event. The tent & tables have arrived with a few accessory items still on the way. Meanwhile the table saw, router & I have saw dust everywhere.

Okay, I know I have been a little quieter on here lately. I promise I have not abandoned you. The truth is the studio has been anything but quiet.
My first vendor event is coming up and I have been running the laser almost non-stop getting ready for it. Cutting boards. Maps. Bookmarks. Crosses. Book page holders. Serving boards with enough personality to start a conversation at any dinner table. A little something for just about everybody.
I am going to be at the Bluffton Farm and Flea on Saturday, October 3rd and again on October 17th, and I am bringing a whole lot of Kessler Kreations with me.
The images I am sharing today are just a small sampling of what is coming. You will see pieces from the Rooted Maps Collection, some brand new items that do not even have a collection name yet because I have been too busy cutting them to name them, and a few things that I think are going to surprise people.
