With over 75 colors in my collection, I often stitch a few samples before committing to the final design. The way a color looks on the spool, on fabric, and in natural light can be completely different.

A new series I’m starting- Studio Sunday!

Behind the Stitches – Week 1 👀

Fun fact: not all embroidery fits in one hoop…

My machine is designed for a 4 inch by 4 inch area. For larger designs (like a 5x7), I use a split hoop method. That means I stitch one half of the design first, then carefully reposition the hoop to stitch the second half.

Everything has to line up perfectly—there’s no room for guessing here 😅 It’s basically like matching two halves of a puzzle and hoping they meet seamlessly.

It takes extra time and precision, but it’s so worth it to bring bigger designs to life ✨
