⚰️🪦 Lydia’s Sick Call Set. The Catholic custom of the sick call set developed long ago, when most people died in their homes. Anointing of the Sick was called Extreme Unction (pronounced uhngk-shn) and it was only administered to those who were in danger of death, or known to be dying.
This is a beautiful set that is available and contains all original materials which I feel so lucky to be able to offer.
I myself, collect religious artifacts and such, although, I am not religious or anything, and don’t promote any kind of belief systems, you do you and what’s right for you, 😉 I more or less love collecting ALL religious artifacts because to me, the belief in anything greater at all is beautiful even if it’s simply for the story telling aspect of it present in all cultures.
The way we as humans process and deal with death is so powerful and beautiful. You can’t take that away from people and learning about how others grieve can be a powerful reminder of not only our humanity but also fragility. We all have one certain truth in life.
