Fourth color update! Some of you all wanted to see what I chose for the last color segment so here it is…. Good thing I did too because it wasn’t until I looked at this picture that I found TWO big ol’mistakes! Can you spot them? I’ll give you a second…
Answer: two of the green stripes are only 2 rows instead of 4.
Looks like I’ll be ripping back a bit! If I can easily fudge a mistake without changing the integrity of the design then I sure will. But if the mistake will hurt the finished knit, I’ll be fixing it. In this case, missing a row in two of the stripe sequences will mean my decreases happened too soon, making this side of the shawl shorter than the other. No biggie, I’ll rip it back this afternoon so I’m set up for my evening knitting.
But also, take pictures of your knits friends- it’s helps to create a new perspective. I would not have caught that otherwise!
