Smackdown Select Series Kokie / Urchin Customer Feedback. Love getting text like this.

Out fishing with the new rod and all I can say is “Holy Smackdown”! This thing is awesome! I’ts the most sensitive rod I own now and I have a lot of them! Everything from Falcon to Dobyns to Phoenix to Lews , you name it I’ve got one. I’m blown away Wayne! I’ll have to get with you for couple more rods at some point. In the meantime, I’m happy to market your product if you’d like me to. Im a huge fan of the Smackdown line of fishing rods! Well done!

We are excited to announce Smackdown Rods is launching its first product line, called SELECT SERIES, beginning with a 7'3" Heavy-XFS Kokie / Urchin Rod.

Young angler Noah O'Rourke (who I consider a subject matter expert in the Cokie technique) tested the new rod and provided very positive feedback.

Noah's Feedback:
1. I am a big fan of the 7'3" Kokie / Urchin rod, feels great in my hand and well balanced.
2- Cast extremely well considering Kokie baits are generally hard to cast.
3. Very sensitive- with previous rods I had a difficult time feeling the bite without live scope. With the new rod, I had 3 bites on a slackline that I am sure I would have missed had I been using my current Kokie rod.
4. Power- the rod has a small learning curve for hookup. I lost a couple at the boat at first. Made some minor adjustment to the drag and hook. After the adjustments, the hook buried deep and they were not coming off.

Noah is an incredible young man, and he loves fishing and the outdoors. I will make sure he has this rod in his boat for 2027 tournament season.

Clay Bailey , a good friend of mine has upgrade his equipment and has a list of equipment he is selling. The equipment came off a 2024 bass cat that only had 50hrs run time.
