Memorial Day weekend is here.

Before the cookouts and the lake days, take a moment. Light a candle. Sit with the names and stories of those who never made it home. Their sacrifice is the reason we get this weekend at all.

To every Gold Star family, and every household still carrying the weight of someone who didn’t come home, we see you. We remember with you.

Relax. Reflect. Remember. 🇺🇸

Father’s Day is right around the corner.

Living Valor candles are hand-poured in Georgia, and our new line was built with the guys in mind: Whiskey Row, Last Call, Night Shift, Thread and Leather, Bread and Leather. Solid scents, no fluff. The kind of gift that gets used instead of shelved.

This is a small family brand, and every order helps support our family through a season we didn’t plan for. Thank you to everyone who has shown up for us so far.

An update from our family.

Many of you know Living Valor started as a way to share our family’s story, especially Emma’s journey through cancer. Last year was her double mastectomy. In July, we’re heading back up for what we’re praying is the last major surgery in this chapter.

We’re expecting to be away for 7 to 10 days. The trips are expensive, and we’re still working through hospital bills from previous surgeries. Every candle ordered through Living Valor goes directly toward covering those medical expenses and the travel that comes with each trip. There is no exaggerating what that means to us. The support coming through this little brand and the GoFundMe has carried our family further than we can put into words, and we are deeply grateful for every single person who has shown up for us.

Our new candle line was created by request, and we’re leaning into it now to help fund this next trip. The scents lean masculine: Whiskey Row, Last Call, Night Shift, Thread and Leather, Bread and Leather. Hand-poured in Georgia. With Father’s Day coming up, they make a perfect gift for the dads, granddads, and the guys in your life who would actually use them.

For those who have been asking, the original fragrances will be back on the website in the next few weeks. We promise.

If you’re able to order, like and share this post, or pass our site along to someone who’d love one, it all makes a difference. And if you pray, please pray for Emma, for steady hands in the operating room, and for our family.

Thank you for walking with us. ❤️

The Millers are headed back to Baltimore tomorrow morning. Hospital tomorrow afternoon for infection maintenance & prayerfully, we’ll be officially cleared to schedule Emma’s last BIG surgery for late next month🙏 While we were hoping our last trip was going to be the final pre-op appt, we were told that Emma would need to be seen one more time before surgery could happen.

Asking for continued support and that you’d cover us in prayer: For good news, steady hands, calm minds, continued provision, and perfect peace as we leave our boys again. The weight of everything always feels a little heavier before these trips, but we are so close to the finish line. We’ve continued to walk in God’s favor & goodness and we are so lucky to be surrounded by so many that have helped carry us along the way🤟🏼🤍

We’re attaching our GoFundMe link- flight costs, trip expenses, and hospital appointments have continued to add up — but we have continued to be SO incredibly blessed and taken care of by so many. Truly overwhelmed with gratitude. 🤍

Titus from across the room: a ✨perfectly✨ placed movie quote.

He’s 3… and somehow nails the context every time. Equal parts impressive and slightly concerning 😂😅

Genesis 1:31, God looked at all He had created and He said “it is very good.” That means when He looks at us, He’s seeing His creation. And He still calls it good. God didn’t create you and then regret it. Made on purpose, for a purpose.

That means something.

It means you weren’t made by accident.
You weren’t thrown together randomly.
You are not just the “leftovers.”
You weren’t created without intention.

I looked over at Emma and just felt proud. Proud of her strength. Proud of the way she keeps showing up. Proud of the example she’s setting for our boys.

Some seasons try to convince you that you’re falling behind. That you’re not enough. That you’re defined by the hard thing you’re walking through.

But that’s not what God said.
He said you are made in His image.
He said very good.
And He doesn’t take that back when life gets tough.

If you’re carrying something heavy right now, don’t forget who you belong to and why you were created. There’s purpose in you. There’s calling on your life. And there’s nothing ordinary about the way God designed you.
From our family to yours, keep leaning in. ❤️
