Educated Arms was created to help educate firearm owners of all ages, sex, and experience. Our goal is to provide an information rich and non biased environment where our clients feel comfortable and safe. We realize that firearms can be intimidating for new owners/users and our goal is to assist them in having a better understanding of how to safely handle a firearm and how to use it. We also ins

truct our students in basic firearm maintenance, proper firearm storage, and home firearm safety. In addition to the new/basic firearm owner instruction we also offer concealed handgun courses and additional courses designed around a more seasoned firearm user. Educated Arms offers all classes in a comfortable classroom style setting and is also more than happy to travel to our clients/students home(s)/range(s) to instruct as well. We’ve been getting a TON of questions about suppressor transfers, so here’s the simple version.

Yes — Educated Arms is transferring suppressors on a standard 4473, and we’ve been doing so since August 14.

Here’s how it works with us:

• Silencer Shop customers / suppressors originating from Silencer Shop: No additional transfer fee and no GOA membership requirement.

• Suppressors purchased through our website or one of our distributors: GOA membership is required, but there is no additional transfer fee.

• Suppressors purchased from PSA or another outside retailer and transferred to us: GOA membership is required and our transfer fee is $50.

We know there’s been a lot of information — and misinformation — floating around about this process. We’re doing our best to keep it simple for our customers while continuing to process an absolutely massive number of suppressors.

FACTS> CLICKBAIT.

There’s a lot of misinformation circulating about the recent NDTX ruling in Jensen v. ATF; including a headline claiming, “ATF is Furious and We Are Planning Brutal Revenge on Gun Owners.”

The source? You guessed it: unnamed anonymous sources. It’s completely FALSE.

**More importantly - ATF respects the Court’s ruling and the rule of law. We are following the order and will not take enforcement action against protected parties inconsistent with that ruling. We are working diligently on clear guidance. Getting it RIGHT matters more than getting it out fast.

That means carefully navigating federal and state laws so that manufacturers, FFLs, and law-abiding gun owners aren’t left with legal problems - today or under a future administration.

Thank you for your patience as we focus on developing the guidance. It will be posted online as soon as we are done. The American public and the 2A community deserve facts NOT clickbait.

We are now expanding our transfer policies under the recent federal court injunction, to include:

• Silencer Shop transactions (been doing since 8/14)
• Verified current GOA members (new)
• Certain named plaintiff/manufacturer transactions (new)

Qualifying transfers still require a Form 4473 and applicable background check, but no Form 4 or NFA tax stamp under our current policy.

We’ve created a new FAQ explaining eligibility, fees, outside transfers, and more.
