This 394 didn't pass a Pressure/vacuum test on the crankcase with some bad crank seals. I hate working on dirty saws especially when I have to expose the bearings when I replace the seals.

Got this old Jonsered 801 running! Needed a bit of attention to the oiler system.
These were made in the 1970's, had really high compression from the factory at close to 200 PSI, it is a tough one to pull start. I put a Stihl Elasto-start handle and rope on this saw to help cushion the "pop".

Pretty excited to have picked up these two old classic Jonsered Muscle saws, even came with an original receipt and owners manual from 1977! $300 in 1977 is equivalent to $1500 according to an inflation calculator.

Working on some 550's today. The yellow stuff came out of one gas tank. I assume this is a canned fuel of some sort, I've never seen 2 stroke mix oil that is yellow, maybe amsoil? The splotch in the middle of the fuel is water. No bueno. The fuel tanks in all 3 saws were flushed with fresh fuel.

Here's a look at a Jonsered 2159/2156 cylinder that was scored bad and low on compression I managed to save from going in the garbage for a customer a couple years ago. A new cylinder kit is above $200, plus diagnosis and labor would have been fairly expensive.
