NEW PRODUCT — Gauge One Quick Disconnect Bulkhead Fitting

We’ve been working on a better way to make clean, professional bulkhead connections on Gauge One live steam locomotives — and we’re excited to introduce our new custom-made Quick Disconnect Bulkhead Fitting.

Re**us quick disconnects are well known throughout the Gauge One community**, but straight out of the bag they aren't really designed around the way we plumb our steam engines and tenders.

Our new bulkhead fitting solves that problem.

What makes it different?

The rear of the fitting incorporates a M5 x 0.5 union connection, allowing you to connect directly to the plumbing inside the tender using standard fittings — including original tender plumbing and existing fittings.

That means a much cleaner installation without having to:

❌ Drill fittings
❌ Tap fittings
❌ Solder adapters onto existing plumbing
❌ Fabricate complicated custom connections

Instead, you get a simple, compact and properly integrated bulkhead connection that looks like it belongs on the engine.

The result is a far cleaner and more professional installation, while making the Re**us disconnect much more practical for our Gauge One applications.

Designed specifically with the needs of live steam modelers in mind, this fitting makes installing removable tender connections considerably easier and cleaner.

Regner Pricing Update

A quick update regarding Regner parts and pricing.

Our latest stock order from Regner has arrived, and unfortunately we’re seeing some significant price increases on certain small parts and components.

Much of this is simply the result of new pricing from Regner as we replenish our inventory. In addition, we are still dealing with a 10% import tariff, import-related fees, and very high international shipping costs. Shipping alone is averaging close to 10% of the cost of our orders.

We’re doing everything we can to keep our pricing as reasonable as possible and absorb what we can on our end. Unfortunately, some of these increases are simply beyond our control.

We sincerely apologize for the price increases and appreciate your understanding and continued support of The Train Department. We’ll continue to do our best to offer Regner products at the fairest prices possible.

Just posted up for sale, a pair of 28' SRRL freight car kits from Phils NG, These are 13.7 scale and complete with all parts and trucks as supplied by PNG. One 28' Flat car and one 28' Pulpwood car.

What sort of interest is there for a 7/8ths scale 4-4-0 I have a spare Forney Donor model that can be converted to a Psuedo Mt Gretna or similar 4-4-0 by John Rosene. He built this one for himself and is making another. Now is the chance to get onto a custom built model. Still need the similar track radius of 10' radius for the 4-4-0 to run smoothly.
