🧵 HELP US KEEP THE THREADS MOVING 🧵

We have the clothes.

We have schools asking for support.

We have families reaching out.

And we have a community that keeps showing up for local students. 🤍

Now we need our community to help us keep the infrastructure behind it all moving.

This month, we need to raise $300 to cover our storage and website costs so Threads of Love Project can keep collecting, organizing and connecting clothing with the students who need it.

These aren’t just bills.

Storage means donated clothing has somewhere to go.

Our website means families, schools, volunteers and donors have a place to connect with us.

And together, they keep the entire system moving.

We made the news. 🥹❤️

What started as a simple idea of keeping good clothing in our community and getting it directly to kids who need it is becoming something so much bigger.

Thank you Good Day Sacramento and CBS Sacramento for giving Threads of Love Project a platform and helping more people see what’s possible when a community takes care of its own.

We’re just getting started. ❤️

Local families are starting to reach out to us directly for help, and we could use our neighbors’ support. 🤍

We have lots of wonderful donated clothing, but sometimes we don’t have the exact essentials a student needs, especially the right size shoes, new socks, or new underwear.

We’re raising funds specifically to help us fill those gaps so we can complete these requests as they come in. Even $5 or $10 adds up and helps us say yes to another family.

We have the clothes. Now we need helping hands. 🤍

Our community has shown up in a BIG way, and we have so many incredible clothing donations ready to get back out to local students.

Now we need volunteers to help us sort, organize, and prepare everything for our school clothing closets and individual student requests.

Whether you can give us an hour or become one of our regular volunteers, every set of hands helps clothing move faster from our community to the students who need it.

Our only vehicle for Threads of Love Project needs a little community love. 🤍

Our 2013 Toyota Sienna is what we use to pick up donations, transport clothing, stock our school closets, and get supplies where they need to go. Right now, it has what appears to be a failing CV axle/joint and needs to be inspected and repaired before we can safely keep putting miles on it.

As a small nonprofit, we simply don’t have the funds for an unexpected vehicle repair right now.

We’re looking for a local mechanic or auto shop willing to partner with Threads of Love Project by donating or discounting the diagnostic, parts, or labor needed to get our van safely back on the road.

Maybe you own a shop. Maybe you know a mechanic. Maybe you know someone who knows someone. Even sharing this could put it in front of the right person.

This van carries a lot more than clothes. It helps carry our mission into schools and communities throughout the Sacramento area.
