Good morning! It's feeling like Fall here at Bookscapes! I got in a bunch of new Fall themed bookmarks and stickers. They are so CUTE! Plus, I put out a bunch of Fall themed books in the kids room. And what could be better in the "ber" months than a cozy mystery? Maybe a thriller or horror story? One of each? We've got plenty to choose from!

Ok friends, it's time to talk BOOK CLUBS! First, a September recap: They Never Learn by Layne Fargo TOMORROW . I finished it this weekend and can't wait to discuss it with you all! The Spectacular by Fiona Davis, next week Tuesday 9/15 at 6pm. I'm starting it this week, so it's fresh in my mind for discussion. And third The Lost Story by Meg Shaffer. This one is 2 weeks out, 9/23 at 6pm and it'll be a reread for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. We've still got a few copies of the book and there is plenty of time to read this one before the meeting.

Now, on to the new info. I've picked books and set dates for OCTOBER! We've got FOUR this month! First is our thriller, The Damage by Caitlin Wahrer. The meeting will be Thursday 10/8 . Next is historical fiction, Miss Morgan's Book Brigade by Janet Skeslien Charles. The meeting will be Tuesday 10/13 . Third will be historical fantasy, The Weaver and the Witch Queen by Genevieve Gornichec. The meeting will be Wednesday 10/21 . Finally, we're adding a wild card club. This month it'll be historical mystery (can you tell I'm feeling historical art the moment 😂), The Shadow Key by Susan Stokes-Chapman is dark Gothic book, perfect for Fall and the meeting will be 10/29 .

I'll be doing a separate post with all the book descriptions if you need more info on any of the books for October. Like September, we'll have new copies of the books available to buy in store. 2 are hardcover $10 each and 2 are trade paperback and $8 each.

Ok friends, I just realized that on the last post about the book club, I said Tuesday. 🤦‍♀️ Just to clarify, the thriller book club meeting to discuss They Never Learn by Layne Fargo is this THURSDAY, 9/10 . I'm so sorry if I've confused anyone, I definitely confused myself! I've even been calling it THRILLER THURSDAY in my head! 😂 This also means that a motivated reader could come in on Tuesday (the next day were open) and get the one copy I've got in store and potentially have time to read it before our meeting on Thursday.

Hello friends! If you have been wanting to get your hands on the thriller for our Tuesday book club, I just had a copy come in! I'm here until 7pm, so if you're interested you've got a few hours to get here. It's a used (but very gently, I had to ask if she had read it) copy so it'll be $4.00. I'm hearing great reviews so far (I'm starting it tomorrow) and I'm so excited to discuss it on Tuesday! We're closed the rest of the weekend, so today is your last chance until Tuesday, which is book club day.

Happy Fri-yay! Just giving a quick update about our weekend schedule. We're open today and tomorrow 11am-7pm. Then we'll be closed Sunday (off to find new books) and Monday. Then we'll be back on Tuesday at 11am with new books. Also, our new book cart from Tuesday still has some great books on it. Come check it out and grab something for the holiday weekend.

We have a very special Book Launch Dog Party for owner, Linda Shephard's, new book 'Azul Saves the Day' on Thursday, September 17th from 6-8pm! This book is based off her beloved dog, Azul! Many of you might have even had the chance to meet her while visiting us at Miles Market!🐶🐾

Furry friends are welcome to accompany you to this Book Launch Party and they will recieve a sweet suprise...A Pup Cup!!! while they are here to celebrate!❤️ During this event we will also have a table accepting donations for Amazing Grace Animal Rescue, to give back to animals who need love, care, and a second chance!🥰
