(In case you didn't see my Instagram story: A day or so ago, I stumbled upon one of the very first cabochons that I ever cut and polished, a really unique plume agate that I fell in love with for the flame-like pattern that it has. Now, years later, I finally put this fiery little friend to good use. What a beauty. 🔥🖤🔥)

One year ago today, I brought home a pointy-eared, ginger-coated mutt. I had done a trial run with her previously, but I knew I was going to cave and be her forever home during the first meet-and-greet. When I arrived to take her home with me for good, she got really excited to see me and jumped right into the back of my car as soon as I opened the door. Her foster noted that he had been doing foster work for over 20 years and had never had a foster dog be so enthusiastic about going to their new home. I didn't just choose her; she chose me. 🧡 Since then, it's been a wild year of playing, cuddling, rough-housing, training, learning, and sometimes being really frustrated with each other. 😅 She is one of the most clever, mischievous, driven, stubborn, and sensitive little ladies I have ever met. I love you, Lilith! 🫶🏼 Happy Gotcha Day! 🎉

You'll always have my heart, Saint Paul. 💖 I walked into both Art In The Hollow and Grand Old Day with full jewelry displays, and I walked away with the same number of empty slots after each day. I am also considerably lighter on art pieces and mineral specimens. I have a lot of work to do in order to replenish my inventory, but I am so unbelievably grateful to everyone that stopped by. 🫶🏼 It's been a trying year in so many ways (including for my business), and it means so much to have people show up and love my work enough to take it home with them, especially returning folks. Saint Paul has always been exceptional when it comes to this. Love you all! ✨

🎶 Do you see what I see? 🎶 Picture Jasper is so cool because it lives up to its namesake of containing pictures within the patterns/characteristics of the stone. Can you see what I see in this one? 👀

My beloved logo piece now has a sibling. ✨👁️✨ I rarely offer Lake Superior Eye Agate pieces because they're my favorite and I tend to hang onto them. This one is no exception. ❤️ I just love the stones that stare back at me. 👁️

I am becoming quite fond of doing this new (new to me, at least) thing that I am now calling wire tracing. 💛❤️ It seems to work best on stones that are understated/don't have a lot going on. I feel that it adds just a little touch of depth and texture. I really like how it turned out on this mookaite. I have always felt that mookaite is a wildly underrated stone. Don't get me wrong: Agates and opals will always win me over first. That being said, the world of jasper has a lot to offer too. ✨

🔥 All Fired Up 🔥

I did something different with this one. I usually make a point of putting the absolute bare minimum amount of wire over the face of the stone because I want it to be the true star of the show. This time, I decided to use the wire to frame the fiery parts of this gorgeous Fire Agate. I can already tell that letting go of this one is going to hurt. 😅🥹
