Slow season…

Well, hats sales are slow but my productivity is not 😅 I might be quiet on here but behind the scenes, I’m…

• updating my website
• ordering yarn
• prepping hang tags and pom poms
• making stacks of hats and cowls!

It can be hard to be motivated during the slow time, but I know my future self will thank me! If you’re a maker, how do you utilize your slow season?

My parents taught me to take care of my things so they last longer 🙌 If you believe in fewer, better things (and taking care of them), you’re in the right place.

I like to wash all my hats, boots, and winter gear before storing it for the season. Need wool wash? I carry on my website! Dawn powerwash and a scrub brush work great on boots, then I’ll spray these with a leather protectant.

There’s so such thing as “too many hand knit sweaters”!

This might be the most transformational blocking I’ve experienced! Not gonna lie, this one was looking a little wonky off the needles 🥴

Please disregard the remaining ends that need to be woven in and my funky pants that don’t go with a fair isle sweater 😂

If you’re unfamiliar with blocking, it’s a process of soaking your finished knit item, blotting out the excess water, then laying flat in its desired shape. It will relax the fibers and even out your stitches.
