We will never forget the scale of the loss that fateful morning of September 11, 2001. It is hard to believe a quarter-century has gone by since then. We commit to always remembering how we felt and the lives of those who perished . . . and especially how we all lived as one people without divide. For most of these years that followed during a long sportswriting career, I was the guy at MLB.com who wrote the homepage article every single 9/11 about how people around Baseball paid tribute. 1 year. 5 years. 10 years. 25 years. Who could forget the great Jack Buck’s poem in St. Louis? How we rallied together? It has never been far from my thoughts. The tragedy is now part of this nation’s soul. So many memories have been shared today, an outpouring of humanity. God bless everyone we lost that day and the families they left behind. 🇺🇸

Happy Estate Sale morning to those who pick! I did something I never do, stepped past my target iron on a stove and going back 2 steps the guy shadowing me grabbed the big stuff, an early Wagner 10 or 11 heat ring. Stupid! I got a Griswold SBL 5 and 6. 2 hour drive for that, so added a snow shovel and washboard. Ha, first NY sale.
