The Minkus Global stamp album was first published by Jacques Minkus in 1951. Minkus sold stamps at Gimbels, eventually expanding locations throughout successful department stores in major cities. By 1966 the Minkus Supreme Global album had expanded to 3 volumes, totaling nearly 3600 pages, filling the bookshelves of collectors across the country. Mass marketing albums and stamps was the secret to Minkus success.

The business was sold to Novus Debut and was operated out of South Carolina in the 1990s, and then to Krause Publications (owner of Stamp Collector Newspaper) in Iola, Wisconsin, before folding and being sold to Amos Publications in 2004. Amos (then publisher of Scott Albums) proceeded to slowly discontinue much of the Minkus line.

Minkus still exists - and supplements can be ordered - printed on demand for many years and countries. Some gaps exist, as the pages were never digitized and lost to the ages.

The MSDA St Louis Stamp Show starts tomorrow morning at 10am sharp! We are at the Westbury Event Center, 20 Westbury Dr. Saint Charles, MO.

We cleared out the warehouse and have brought all of the lightly used Scott binders (Specialty and International) as well as Safe and Lindner binders! Collect France? We have a 2-volume hingeless album set WITH pages thru 1960 for less than the cost of the binders!!
