🏃There is a big difference between stretching a muscle and actually regulating your nervous system. When you do traditional athletic stretching, you’re targeting physical flexibility.

😌But when you engage in somatic movement, you’re engaging in a bottom-up conversation with your nervous system—releasing the hidden emotional tension and stress your body has stored over time.

👉Here is why somatic release hits differently during seasonal shifts like the Fall Equinox: It targets the root of tension, moves at your body's pace, and creates mental clarity.

💜Save this post for the next time you feel physically tight and mentally overwhelmed! ✨

🛑STOP🛑 Unclench your jaw, drop your shoulders down from your ears, and take one slow, soft breath right now........

😌We often think regulating our nervous system requires a full hour-long class or an elaborate routine, but your body responds to micro-pauses throughout the day.

🫶When you intentionally soften physical tension for even 60 seconds, you send a clear signal to your brain that it is safe to come out of fight-or-flight mode. Here is a 1-minute somatic reset you can do anywhere:

❤️Inhale through your nose for 4 counts, letting your belly expand.
🧡Exhale with an audible sigh through your mouth for 6 counts, releasing your shoulders completely.
💛Gently roll your neck from side to side, noticing any quiet pockets of tension without judgment.

As nature starts to drop its leaves, your body is allowed to let go, too. 🍂

😊Before we turn inward for the quieter, colder months ahead, the autumn season naturally invites us to pause, declutter our inner landscapes, and clear out what we’ve been carrying for far too long.

If you’ve been feeling the weight of a busy summer, scattered thoughts, or accumulated stress, you don't have to keep holding it all together on your own.

💜Shed & Soften: A Fall Equinox Cleansing Circle.
📅 When: Sunday, September 20 | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
📍 Where: The Well in Two Rivers, Salida, CO.

This heart-centered gathering is a compassionate space designed to help you shake off stress, clear mental clutter, and reclaim your space. There are no expectations here—nothing to master and no quiet minds required. Whether you're processing a personal shift, recovering from summer, or simply curious, come as you are. Space is limited to keep our circle intimate.

I used to think being a little overwhelmed and constantly 'busy' meant i just needed to try harder. Even when i was completely caught up, i always felt like i had to keep going, keep doing, there was something left undone. 🤪

🫠I used to go, go, go until my body and mind completely gave out on me. Then, I’d fall into a deep funk for days at a time—feeling even more unproductive than when I was running around like a mad woman, constantly worried I was letting everyone down—my work, my husband, my animals, my health, and myself. When the seasons shifted, I’d just grit my teeth and push through the burnout until my body finally forced me to stop.

🛑Everything changed when I finally allowed myself to stop. Not stopping out of sheer exhaustion or overstimulation, but really giving myself permission to pause. I sat in the middle of the anxiety without trying to fix it instantly—and that single shift allowed me to finally breathe.

😌It was like an instant sigh of relief.

It allowed me to close the chapter on the summer rush—the endless errands, events and doings—so I could drop the weight, focus on the present and look ahead to the fall and winter seasons with space to breathe.

When you stop fighting where you are, your nervous system finally gets the signal that it's safe to rest. You don't have to wait for your body to force a complete shutdown before you allow yourself to slow down.

✨Remember, give yourself permission to pause✨

If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to go to a community gathering, a workshop or healing circle, but my mind is way too busy,” this ones for you.
🤔There’s a common myth that to step into a movement or somatic circle, you need to already be calm or capable of sitting in total silence for an hour. But expecting yourself to be calm before you enter a restorative space is like expecting yourself to be clean before you take a shower. Here is the truth about my circles: a busy mind is completely welcome: You don’t need to “turn off” your thoughts. We use gentle breathwork, sound, and movement to naturally give your brain a soft place to land.
🫶You come as you are—period: Stiff back, restless energy, sweatpants, or emotional clutter—you don’t have to fix a single thing before walking through the door.
🫶You don’t need to perform, flex, or act quiet. You just need space to soften.

You don’t have to be flexible to do yoga.
Read that again. 🧘‍♀️✨
If you’ve ever held back from a class because you feel stiff or “not flexible enough”... this post is for you.
Saying you’re too stiff for yoga is like saying you’re too dirty to take a shower.
Yoga isn’t a performance for people who can bend in half.
It’s about showing up and taking a breath.
It’s about moving your body in a way that feels good.
And sometimes… it’s about enjoying a cold drink in the sun right after. ☀️🍹
We’re throwing out the studio rules and taking movement outdoors to one of our favorite local spots in Salida, Colorado The Office Bar
Whether you’ve practiced for years or never stepped on a mat, you belong here.
What to expect:
🏼 Zero flexibility required—come as you are.
🏼 Modifications for every movement so it works for your body.
🏼 Fresh mountain air, breathtaking views, and zero judgment.
🏼 A warm local community here to unwind, not compete.

3 First-Time Tips: 1️⃣ Wear whatever is comfortable (no fancy gear needed). 2️⃣ Bring a water bottle and a mat. 3️⃣ Bring a friend to join the fun!
Come move, laugh, and sip with us this Sunday morning. 🏔️
Spots are limited to make sure everyone has room on the patio!

See you Sunday! ✨
