Why does a national retailer interview local politicians?

Well, because the decisions ACTUALLY shaping life in Colorado happen in county commissioner meetings, wildlife hearings, and state committee rooms while nobody is watching.

Rules regarding building codes, water access, land use, hunting policy, and taxes become law months BEFORE you ever feel the impact.

We try to bring those closed-door conversations directly to our studio in Salida. You get direct access to mayors, commissioners, and local policy experts. We've even had some governor candidates with more to come 💪

FYI - Our microphone is completely open to Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and everyone in-between.

We never endorse political candidates. We focus entirely on introducing you to the people governing your community.

In tonight’s episode, we sit down with Toby Taylor, candidate for Chaffee County Commissioner District 3, to talk building regulations, rising housing costs, property taxes, land-use restrictions, and why he believes local government is making it harder for working people to stay and build here.

The real work starts with maps spread across the table, boots on the trail, and countless hours behind the glass. Finding animals before they find you is often the difference between filling a tag and heading home with stories.

Some people have accused us of being a little quiet lately. Fair enough.
The truth is, we haven’t been sitting still. We’ve been building PYROST.

And before anything else, we need to say thank you to everyone who has continued to encourage us through it all.

Your support is the wind in our sails, and it’s what has given us the ability to keep pushing forward and build what comes next.

Pyrost (pronounced pie - rust 🥧) is essentially Salida Gunshop online. Same crew and mission but with bolstered capabilities and a smoother surfing experience.

As you all know by now, we’re not your average retailer. We care deeply about the Second Amendment, wildlife, conservation, AND especially the people who refuse to sit this fight out.
