One thing I'm learning about myself is that I have a tendency to understate urgency. I like to believe I can solve problems on my own, so I'm careful not to exaggerate what's at stake.

But the truth is this: without bridge funding, my sister and I will have to sell Casa Pilar before we have the nonprofit in place to protect it.

That's why this campaign exists. Not to make Casa Pilar bigger or better, but to buy the time and build the support needed to secure its future. If Casa Pilar has ever meant something to you, I hope you'll consider helping us make sure it gets that future.

Thank you to everyone who stepped through the gates for our 34th Annual Art in Pilar’s Garden. For over three decades, this event has been the beating heart of our creative community, and this weekend proved exactly why.
The garden thrived this weekend with sun-dappled canopies, fountain splashes, and bites from the Chimichurri Truck. We spent two evenings enjoying art and deep conversation along the brick pathways.
Special thanks to our local creators whose work shone in Pilar’s living masterpiece. To everyone who attended and kept this Salt Lake tradition alive—thank you.

One of Salt Lake’s favorite weekends of the year is almost here: Art in Pilar's Garden, this June 13 & 14 at 403 8th Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT, Utah, 4- 9pm $15 $10 for kids includes food and drinks.
Pilar Pobil started this 34 years ago so that people could meet artists somewhere with an inspiring and fun atmosphere.
Come enjoy the garden, the house, wine, tacos, and meet the 8 incredible artists showing their work alongside Pilar’s own art. Check out the images to see a preview of who you'll meet!

From a 🇪🇸 Spanish island to actual knighthood... my mom’s life was a movie📽.
Sometimes it’s hard to believe all the things that happened in my Mom’s life. It could have gone so many different directions.
But she somehow came from the island of Mallorca and ended up in Salt Lake City, Utah, becoming an established artist.
She always thought of herself as an American, but also a proud Spaniard forever.

In 2016, the King of Spain bestowed one of the highest civilian honors on her (the equivalent of a knighthood!) ⚔️. There was a beautiful ceremony at the University of Utah College of Humanities where one of her most iconic works hangs in the main lobby.
