They gave up the comfort of their homes so we could enjoy ours.

They gave up the ability to drop their children off at school so that we could.

They gave up hugging their mama a few more times.

They gave up dinner with their families so that we could sit down with ours.

They gave up sporting events, concerts, and peaceful walks in the park.

They gave up long talks with their old man so that we could have them with ours.

They gave up rounds of golf and days at the spa.

They gave up boats and beaches.

They gave up grilling, swimming, and tanning.

They gave up Memorial Day weekend so that we could celebrate any occasion on any given weekend of the year.

They selflessly gave up the minuscule things that we selfishly complain about in order to live a lifestyle that we can’t even begin to fathom.

They gave up everything.

May we not forget the sacrifice of fallen soldiers. What privilege they have gifted us.

May we not forget that they are the reason we get to enjoy our freedom this weekend and every single day of our lives.

To the women who mother in ways the world doesn’t always name…

To those raising humans—guiding, protecting, loving through every phase.

To those caring for four-legged companions who feel every ounce of your heart.

To the ones tending to feathered friends, scaly little beings, and quiet, watchful creatures who trust you completely.

To the women whose plants thrive because of your attention, your consistency, your gentle devotion.

And to those who mother through energy, presence, and the way you hold space for others…

This is for you.

Because what you give isn’t small.

It isn’t casual.
It’s not something everyone knows how to do.

You pour love into the everyday moments— the feeding, the tending, the noticing, the showing up… again and again.

And maybe you don’t always pause long enough to see it, but the lives you touch are better, softer, safer because of you.

That matters more than you’ve been told.

So today, let this land for a moment:

The way you care is not overlooked.
The way you love is not ordinary.
The way you show up—especially when you’re tired— is something sacred.

Those in your orbit?

They are better because you exist.

And that kind of love, it leaves a mark that lasts far beyond what you can see.

Happy Mother’s Day to every woman who mothers in her own beautiful, powerful way.

To the person who worries what others may think or say about you...

Here is a room FILLED with all of the people who pay your bills, walk in your shoes every day, determine your future, and love your family way more than you possibly could.

These are the same people you should allow to discourage you.

Let that sink in. 🤔

There are moments in life when you realise you were never carrying it alone.

Not the grief.
Not the fear.
Not the becoming.

Because long before you arrived here, there were women learning how to survive, soften, rebuild, protect, create, love and begin again.

And somehow… that wisdom still lives within us.

Maybe that’s why intuition feels so ancient.
Why some answers arrive without words.
Why your soul already knows the way before your mind catches up.

You are not just one woman standing alone in this lifetime.

You are the continuation of every woman who refused to give up before you.

✨ And I think there’s something incredibly powerful about remembering that.

"One thing that became clearer as I get older: People are not beautiful for how they look or speak. They are beautiful for how they love, care and treat others." (Unknown)

True beauty is not a garment we wear or a melody we speak, but a quiet light that flows from the heart. It is found in the gentle way we hold space for a friend, the selfless care we offer a stranger, and the grace we show to those who can offer nothing in return.

While the world may look at the surface, the soul only recognizes the warmth of a kind spirit.

When we choose to love deeply and treat every soul with dignity, we create a glow that never fades with time. To be truly beautiful is to be a source of peace and a shelter for others. 🕊️✨
