Growing up many I knew did big spring cleaning. Naturally I grew up and did too.

Some years were harder than others, or just more exhausting. Expensive even.

That was before I had a better way.

With Norwex, we like things to be easier. Norwex means Norwegian Experience. With that in mind, my spring cleaning has morphed into a spring refresh.

Time to open windows, freshen up, and feel how things feel lighter. Like spring should.

One thing people don't realize about microfiber...

And that's traditional detergents can coat the fibers over time, which limits how well they work.

Using the right detergent helps microfiber last longer AND stay effective-- which matters if you want fewer tools (did you ever consider your cloths as tools? They are ! 😄), not more.

And let's not even mention fabric softener yet. 😲

Laundry is personal care, we just don't think of it that way. (We may consider it a never ending abyss....)

Clothing, towels, and bedding touch our skin all day and night. Many conventional detergents leave residues behind, even after rinsing.

I started paying attention years ago after my son had a horrible reaction- then I kept watching because of allergies, headaches, pets, and just overall health-for my whole family- not because I wanted to be "extra".

And you know what? It was worth it!

Let's talk about personal care.

Meaning skincare.

Skin. It's our largest organ and takes a lot of abuse.

Have you considered the effect of all the things that touch our skin, has on it? Clothing, sheets, and towels.

What you use to wash and care for these items is very important. If you know someone who suffered due to their skin being irritated- you know what I mean.

Let's talk laundry detergent. Many products leave a residue that comes in contact with our skin long after the wash is done.

January usually nudges me back into demo mode- not because demos are seasonal (they're honestly helpful any time), but because they remind me why I love Norwex in the first place.

I love demos because they're about education and real conversations, not pressure. It's about just seeing what actually works before deciding anything.

And, coincidentally, the first Norwex demo I went to was in January 2018. Thanks for the invite! (She knows who she is 😉)

Some of you may not know this about me....

But I've used Norwex in my home for years because it simplified everything---fewer products, less exposure to toxins, and routines I can keep up with even in the craziness that happens.

It fits into my real life here and now, not the other way around.

Real life cleaning isn't aesthetic. It's isn't a vision board.

It can get messy. 🫣

I stick to a few daily basics--laundry, dishes, quick floor care- and the rest? Well, it can flex with life. After all, life throws all it has at you, ready or not.

Consistency doesn't mean doing everything. Or perfection.

It means having systems in place that still work when life is full. Or chaotic. Or just hard.

Sometimes those systems need to flex too.

The older I get, the more my home environment matters.

Between allergies, pets, and ever changing energy levels, I've learned that what we use in our homes really does affect how we feel.

Reducing toxins wasn't a trend or phase for me- it was a practical decision that made daily life easier.
