“SCAMMER WARNING”
Be careful other people. Yesterday I was messaged about buying a Tumblr and a cutting board to be shipped two hours away, payment was either cash app or Zelle. We agreed on cash app but I got an email stating the money was on hold due to my account not being a business account. I let the customer (scammer) know and I was told to call the number in the email to clear it at my end. I checked the area code it was in New York so I called it and immediately the guy wanted me to let him have access to my phone, warning #1. I told him no and I said this was stupid and he said “you’re stupid”, warning #2. I messaged the scammer and let him know I would not give anyone access to my phone or any electronic device and the response was for me to call another number that he sent me, warning #3. I called the 800 number for Cash app and that phone number was nowhere in their listing, warning #4. the cash app code, $… was suspended, warning #5.
Long story short, the scammer was very adamant about me calling that number, warning #6. Throughout this ordeal I got a bill in my email from Cash app requesting $95. The scammer had taken my cash app and tried to buy something and then wanted to know who the person was that requested the money there’s another warning. The final straw was when the scammer messaged me back to “just call the fu***ng number”. Transaction ended, and I blocked the profile.
I’ve been watching videos about a company and I can’t remember the name that call known scammers and destroy their equipment and alert their local authorities, of course they were in Pakistan. I watched a video where they intercepted an elderly woman within about five minutes away from putting $50,000 in a bitcoin machine, thank you to that company for the videos.
