Nobody warned me that starting a bow business would turn me into a full-time glitter wrangler. And yet. Here I am filling jars of soccer glitter one tiny spoonful at a time, because fall season is here and somebody’s kid needs a little sparkle on game day.

I never planned to start a hair bow business. Fourteen years later, here we are.

Here’s the thing though. I don’t do this for the perfectly styled feeds or the moms with endless free time. I do this for you. The one getting everyone out the door with one shoe missing and a hair appointment you keep rescheduling. The one who still wants her girl to have something sweet on top of her head, even on the mornings that fall apart before 8am.

You know the morning. Your daughter walks out the door dressed, hair done, bow perfectly clipped. You? Cold coffee, yesterday’s shirt, still hunting for your other shoe.

That’s kind of the whole point of these bows. They make sure at least one of you looks put-together, and let’s be honest, some mornings that’s the best you’re going to get.

The mixing took 3 minutes. The editing took two hours. One of these I actually enjoyed and it wasn’t the one hunched over my phone.

This is the hair glitter gel I make from scratch at my kitchen table. Kids love it, it washes out, and it turns a regular Tuesday into a little bit of a moment.

Attention girl moms. I am looking for a woman named Madison. 🔍

She ordered three back-to-school bows, told me they were “so cute,” and then vanished like the invoice personally offended her. The bows are hand-tied. They have her name on them. They are sitting right here judging me.

If you know a Madison, a Madyson, a Maddison, or a Madisyn, kindly let her know her cart misses her and school starts soon. First-day photos wait for no one. This is not a threat. It is a very sarcastic reminder.
